Purchased the year membership for my son when he got his own PS4. Was needed in order to play games online against other people. Year Membership is definitely worth the price for the experience as well as the other memberships that cost more over a 12 month span.

If you own a PlayStation and don’t have access to online gameplay, the 12 month membership is the best way to go and will save you the most money. Having access to online gameplay for the entire year is really great and opens many fun modes for games.
