A: No as long as you have not activated in on the playstation network. For example. I bought a game and it came with a 30 day playstation plus free trial. I purchased a 12 month membership card as well. I activated the trial and once it ran out i activated the 12 month membership and virtually Got 13 months Of PlayStation plus. so to answer your question you can sit on the card as long as you want as long as you don't activate it on the playstation network

A: A gift card you can use towards the purchase of whatever is sold on the PSN store. Movies, games etc... The 12 month membership is a subscription that gives you access to free monthly games and discounts throughout the length of your subscription on the PSN store.

A: No. You activate on your playstation account. The instructions are on PSPlus card. Be sure to uncheck AUTO RENEWAL option to prevent further charges IF You have your credit card on account. Using these cards prevents the use of your credit card. The same applies to XBox Live.
