When you have this membership you can play online games. You also get free games every month. The games you get are usually just OK games. The very best games you have to buy.

It's a subscription to the PSN. Nothing more, nothing less.

The card works just fine, but as others have mentioned, the free games that you receive with Playstation Plus really aren't free in the sense that you get to keep them. You're really just given access to these games as long as you continue to have an active Playstation Plus membership. I was gifted this last Christmas, and after a year of free games, I couldn't really think of any that were really good to me? I JUST NOW went to look up the entire PS Plus free games of 2019. Of the 24 games, two of them I was interested in prior to having PS Plus, five of them I might check out, and the remaining 17 games are pretty much games I have no real interest in trying, or I'd consider throw-away games. That's actually way more disappointing than I originally thought, and I'm not what I would call a picky gamer by any means. Save yourself the money and pickup the free weekly/monthly games via Epic Games Launcher (assuming you have a PC). They're even doing a "12 days of free games" with a unique game available for 24 hours until the end of the year. Jump on that ASAP!

An overpriced piece of cardboard required to fully utilize your PS4. You do receive a couple of free games each month, which can sometimes make this membership feel like it's worth something.

This is great price for the year membership, easy to buy and set up.
