The only reason I say it's a necessary evil is the price point. I like the playstation store and the free games they offer but come on, 60 bucks. I would recommend only buying this when it goes on sale.

Everyone knew sony would fall in line with microsoft to score some extra bucks from the online community. Guess we all can't complain for 5 dollars a month when they offer free games every month and provide a service.

If you are like me and don't want to just give your card fir monthly payment this is way to go. Sometimes it has good free games others eh.

The membership legit only gives you a choice of 2 games and 5 discounts a month. There’s not as many choices as they make it out to be.

Can’t buy in store with store credit that I was given but I can buy the Nintendo one? Makes no sense.

PS Plus doesn't offer a good selection of Instant Collection Games like it used too. Also the yearly fee rose from $49.99 to $59.99. PS3 had free online service. Too bad it's now required to play online games.

Not a huge fan of having to pay for online not sure who is but at least I can try out some free monthly games I may not have bothered to purchase before. Some months are better than others.

They just took away free games each month for Playstation Vita and Playstation 3. Technically you don't get as many games a month now.

I love the play-station store and everything that comes with the subscription but do I really need to pay the price (59.99) of a video game to get a plus membership. I guess lol

They wouldn't price match on Amazon because they said it was an "older" card online. So it was full price, plus sales tax. I would buy online instead next time and not bother to buy at Best Buy.

It's hard to review a product when it's needed to play games on the PS4. I never liked the idea paying $60 for a game and then have to pay a yearly service just to be able to play it. Oh well.

You buy the code, you get a year of Playstation Plus. I feel the cost to play games online is more expensive than it should be. It's just one more way for Sony to get more $$ from gamers.

I guess you really cant complain about the item. At 59.99 you make your money back with the free games you get every month. I just wish these things would go on sale once in a while

So far I think that this is a good product. Could be a little cheaper for the things it offers. I dislike how it's now only the main way to play with friends.

My opinion is that is should be a little cheaper to play online. Games itself are $60 and now games have dlc, so in the end you’re spending near $200 to play a game online.

Im okay with the price but i still after all these years hate the fact that I have to pay to use the internet twice. Once for games and once for basically google. It hurts my soul.

I wish u didn't have to buy every year for something that the ps 4 needs for online gaming and all there other uses but a least u do get a lot off free games eachmonth

I guess downloading games and talking to other users is why we bought the thing in the first place.

Although I have yet to use the internet play, I was expecting better free games to play. If you are not planning on using the multiplayer games, I would not purchase

Purchase was easy but the store would not honor points in purchase. I have a lot of points and couldn’t use them when I wanted to.
