Earlier this year, Sony raised the yearly cost of membership to $60 (now identical to Xbox'). Savvy shoppers (or me) can find this product on sale for the $50. Best Buy's price match policy is advantageous for this as well. Getting the PlayStation card is also a way to avoid having Sony keep your credit card on file-for those still uneasy after Sony's data hack of 2010.
