I've been a PC gamer for years, consoles weren't my thing but I was fascinated by VR. My husband surprised me with this for Christmas. He knows that I'd rather have something fun, more than a piece of jewelry! First we had to set up the PS4, we found it helpful to view a couple of video's on the set up. Then we moved on to setting up the VR stuff. Be prepared for lot's of wires, but other than that, it isn't too tough. Again, video's helped. I am very impressed with this, and actually in awe of the experience. I do recommend a couple of things if you find a " blurry" issue, which is common. First, go to the settings portion of the menu and view the " how to put on your headset" instructional. It shows you something that is not discussed in the set up, which is the button which allows you to pull the viewer closer, or further from your face. It also shows you how to further adjust the headset. I found that doing this really improved the clarity. There is something else to look at, if you do find continued blurring. Under the settings menu, there is a feature that allows you to " measure eye distance". It's a simple process of placing your face in front of the camera to be photographed, the directions are easy and quick to follow. I did this, and wow, what a huge difference it made. I believe that each user can establish their own setting if needed. I recommend the PlayStation WORLDS to get started. There are also some pretty cool free documentaries available for download. I think this product is amazing, in fact, I've gotten so into this, I've burned one meatloaf already! I know that the " top rated" VR headsets are supposedly Rift and Vive, but honestly, I can't see how PlayStation VR is lacking in any way. Best of all, you don't need a high end computer to run this, just a Play Station. In addition, it looks like some good content will be coming out in 2017.

I was quite impressed. The graphics (Battlezone) wasn't jaw dropping, but this is just how Battlezone is. The immersion was very good. I had no sense of outside surroundings while sitting in the middle of a busy Best Buy store. I experienced no type of motion sickness or disorientation, but I didn't experience that with other devices (ie; google devices) either. The only downside for me is that it didn't come out when I was still single and without a kid. Because it's so immersive my play time with is will be limited since it pretty much shuts you out from the outside world.

I like the Ps VR. Some of the movement driven games make me motion sick, but it passes after a few minutes. There are a lot of great experiences in VR.

I have several friends that have invested a lot of money into their PC VR setup, granted they already had beefy PC's (at least $1,500), $600 for a compatible video card and $800 for their VR headset, don't get me wrong, the money they put into it really shows. I for the other hand love technology, elite plus member :) but don't want to invest that kind of money into VR. The PSVR was the perfect alternative for me, I already owned a PS4 Slim, so the initial cost to me for the starter launch set was $499. Already, I feel like I am ahead of the game. Now for the experience, I can't get enough of it. Playing a game and having it feel like you are in Croft Manor, flying like a bird, fighting off hordes of monsters/zombies, my childhood dream of flying an X-Wing fighter and soon to come Star Trek Bridge Crew. It is simply amazing! As for the graphics, the PS4 Slim did a great job, when your playing the games, it is smooth and clear but doesn't blow your mind like the PC versions. As a side note, I am a stickler about clarity but didn't want to spend the money on it (my version of the rock and a hard place). So I upgraded to the PS4 PRO and MIND BLOWN, I was happy with the Slim to get my feet wet, super ecstatic about the PRO. I can definitely see the difference graphically and aesthetically (side note: on the PRO all the cables plug into the back of the system, Slim has one USB cable that has to stay plugged in on the front of the PS4) I hope my review helps you in any research or decision, I am very very happy with the PSVR and "I can't get enough" of it :)

I was very iffy on VR before trying it, but Best Buy had an in-store demo so I thought why not try it. I was definitely amazed! The game literally looks like its all around you. It was way more realistic than I had expected. The only downfall is that there really isn't any good VR games out for it yet, but give it some time!

I bought the launch bundle the day it came out, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the VR experience. The Playroom VR, which is a free download once you get the headset up and running is fun to get you off and running. My advice is to take it slow and steady at first. I haven't gotten motion sickness with the games I have played, but I do find me telling myself that I am not moving, haha.

I thought ok how good could a PSVR be... as long as the games keep coming out this is going to be a must buy for anyone especially when the price comes down 50-100$. Its just so good and when the PS4 pro comes out which Ill be getting it will be even better.

Received this last Thursday and haven't been able to put it down since. I use it not only for some of the pretty great games like Batman and rush of blood but also as a media player for Hulu, anything someone comes over they are immediately drawn to it and curious to check it out and once they try it everyone loves it.

This is the future, folks. Games are just the beginning. Be aware, though, that these first experiences are going to be mostly that: experiences. We're getting a couple of full-fledged games like Eve and Rigs, but this is a marathon, not a sprint. Support the product, and the games will come in droves! =)

While not quite as nice as it's competitors, PSVR is still an amazing new experience that is more than worth the (comparatively low) entry price. Words alone can't describe what it's like to actually be inside the virtual world that you are in, whether it be in a game or other form of media.

Sony did an excellent job on everything about this unit. Does everything its suppose to do. After dropping all this money, worried if it would be worth it. Well it is .... every penny of it. It knocked my socks off.

If you know what to expect, or if you can ignore the hype you will not be disappointed. This has a fair price for what it is, and does a great job at introducing you to VR.

Finally got to purchase the vr. Never got to test it out until I purchased it. Super comfortable and the graphics are awesome. loved using it while playing the batman arkham. Definitely something to look into.

The psvr headset is one of the best products I have ever owned. Often times I get a gaming console and never use it because they are all the same. However, the psvr truly makes the ps4 stand out. The head tracking is amazing, and does a great job moving, every time you turn your head. I often feel as if I am really in the environment that the psvr shows. The play is greatly enhanced with move controllers, but is still fun without them. The biggest complaint I read is the play station camera does not keeping track of the move controllers, however I find that the tracking was extremely accurate. I was debating whether to get a product like the ovules rift or vive, however, that would also be at the cost of getting a $2,000 gaming computer. The "screendoor" effect on this product is barely noticeable, and font is easily readable.

Absolutely worth the money! No doubt about it! I've been waiting for VR since I was a kid, and knew I had to have it. I waited for this system, plunked down the 499 for the bundle, and I now have a full VR setup at my house.

THE NEW UPDATE HAS MADE IT EVENT BETTER YOU HAVE TO TRY THE PSVR TO TRULY APPRECIATE THE 3D PSVR EXPERIENCE . WHEN YOU COME TO AN EDGE YOU REACH OUT CAUSE YOU ACTUALLY FEEL LIKE YOUR GOING TO FALL WHICH CAN TAKE A LITTLE GETTING USED TO . MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO SET IT UP AND BE PREPARED TO BUY A STORAGE SYSTEM FOR IT . MY ONLY ISSUE IS THE FACT YOU CAN'T BUY REPLACEMENT CABLES OR HEADSET REPLACEMENT PARTS ANYWHERE WHICH IS ONLY MADE SPECIALLY BY PLAYSTATION . I THINK THEY SHOULD OFFER CUSTOMERS THE OPTION TO BUY THE PARTS HOWEVER A QUICK CALL TO PLAYSTATION CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL GET YOU A FREE REPLACEMENT PART ONE TIME ONLY . HOPEFULLY IF WE ALL COMPLAIN MAYBE PLAYSTATION WILL FIX THIS ISSUE AND SELL PARTS AT BEST BUY . A WIN WIN SITUATION FOR ALL ! THE GRAPHICS ON THE PS4 PRO ARE AMAZING WITH MY 1080 P HD LCD TV .

The Playstation VR is an amazing addition to the playstation line up, but to me the downfall of the Playstation VR would have to be the price on it. If it was 50-100 dollars cheaper it would total be worth the price and what your getting for. The VR headset isn't that heavy and comes with very easy and understandable instructions on how to set it up, although their isn't much games for it right now but I can see amazing games for the VR in the future. I see great potential in the system and the games that can be done with this hardware. Overall the hardware is very light weight and is easy to understand, it also has its downfall. If you have motion sickness I would not recommend this to them cause it will make you sick. The motion controller isn't as reliable compared to the controller but it does make the games more entertaining.

I've been an avid gamer since I was a little boy, but the PS VR is a new experience all together. I originally played this unit with the PS4, but also upgraded to the new PS4 Pro. The games already felt good, but there was a little choppiness to the graphics. This was greatly smoothed out; as were the graphics and feel of the games with the PS4 Pro. There also seems to be more detail to the games as well. I can't get enough of the PS VR. From becoming Batman, to the fun free demos available on the included disc and the free downloads available from Playstation. I'm looking forward to seeing what games may come for this great unit!

I went and bought my PSVR headset on impulse only. Boy did I dodge a bullet. I am pleased with my purchase so far. I picked up driveclub VR and it is possibly the best gaming experience I have ever had. The technology does so much for the games you play, it really does put you there. The graphics are downgraded sure, but despite that I would rather play in VR because of the experience VR can give. My only complaint so far is that there are not many triple A games. I want more games to be ported to PSVR, GTA V, Skyrim, etc. Then I will be able to tell if it truly was worth it. Until then I give this a 3 of 5. Experience 5, Games 1.

Great to have one to use in a novelty sense or for party games but not yet practical for serious gamers. I am not a serious gamer so I like it. Great for kids but rated 12 and older due to motion sickness issues.
