The PSVR2 is a major leap forward in virtual reality for PlayStation 5 users, offering crisp 4K HDR visuals, smooth 120Hz performance, and impressive features like eye tracking and headset haptics that enhance immersion. It’s easy to set up with just one cable and feels incredibly responsive and lifelike in games like Horizon: Call of the Mountain. While the $549 price and wired connection may be a downside for some, it delivers a high-end VR experience that rivals much more expensive PC setups—making it a top choice for serious console gamers looking to explore virtual worlds.

I bought an open box version in excellent condition. It arrived perfect. Anywho, this thing is so cool. I love playing No Man’s Sky with it. My kids are addicted to Beat Saber. Makes me want to get a racing setup to play Gran Turismo 7 in VR. Setup of it is really easy and fully guided. I really like that it keeps track of where you are standing to show you when you move out of the play area.

Price was great! VR experience is a whole new world. Works both sitting and standing. Be aware the headset will not work through a hub - has to connect directly to the PS on the USB-C port. I use the USB-C for the standard controller charger, and all the other ports for other items, so had to get another hub just for charging the controllers. I would rate as a 5* except: Obviously has two hand controllers, but only 1 short charging cable. If you dont have a spare USB-C to USB A cable, you’ll need to buy another one to charge one of the controllers. After charging, controllers worked at the console level, but not in game. Took some internet research to find it is a known and longstanding issue. Fortunately, one of the laundry list of home-based corrective actions fixed the problem. IMHO, for as long as the problem as existed, this should have been corrected at the factory long ago.

I recently purchased the Sony PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle in white, and it has significantly enhanced my gaming experience. The 4K HDR visuals and 110º field of view provide stunning and immersive graphics, making gameplay incredibly realistic. The PlayStation VR2 Sense technology, including eye tracking, headset feedback, and 3D audio, adds a new level of immersion that truly brings games to life. The included Horizon Call of the Mountain game offers an engaging adventure with intuitive controls, utilizing haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for a highly interactive experience. The single-cable setup made installation straightforward, and the overall build quality is impressive. I highly recommend this bundle to anyone looking to elevate their PlayStation 5 gaming setup.

Is a total blast—the eye-tracking and haptic feedback make everything feel super immersive, and it’s easily the best way to play high-end VR without needing a massive gaming PC.

The VR itself works great, very comfortable, and easy to use. The downside is that we cannot use it with anything but the PS5. Wish it was more versatile.

This is my first time owning VR, but not my first rodeo: Oculus. After years of playing games using the same medium (TV screen), I was admittedly curious about playing games using a different medium. I have to say, the experience has been surprisingly good. Hardware: Pros: From the snugness around the crown to the nose pinch of the lenses, this thing is versatile! Cons: Prolonged gaming can cause redness in the face and soreness in the neck. You can also get entangled in the comm line if you're doing a lot of movement. Software (setup): Pros: Configuration settings and tutorials are (relatively) quick and easy. Cons: Be prepared for (potentially) long scan/re-scan times as the headset attempts to map your environment. A cluttered living room can take a while. Gaming: Pros: The immersion found in VR-compatible open-world, 3D games! With one game in particular, I found myself more engrossed in the shooting range tutorial than in the main game because it was just fun! VR-compatible 2D games surround you with a distracting backdrop, both visually and auditorily, while you try to focus on the main board. They don't fully utilize the VR system, but it's cool. Cons: The library of VR-compatible games is limited, but thankfully growing. Also, it's sometimes easy to go environmentally out-of-bounds when playing. Make sure to play in a relatively open area to reduce the chances. In conclusion, this is a nice addition to the PlayStation family but not a must-have. If you're on the fence, it's probably best to save yourself $600. However, if you're looking for a new (more immersive) way to play, this is your device.
