I got the vr2 and it works much better than the first one. It’s a much easier setup and works no matter what height you are since the camera is in the headset.

I bought the VR2 a couple months ago and it has been a blast. The graphics are better than I thought they would be. I have gran turismo and beat sabers. Both very fun games. I’m a lot better playing GT with the headset on, rather than off. It’s an awesome experience. So much easier to drive in VR. I’m horrible at driving without it. All and all I’m really enjoying it.

To set my baseline expectations in the review, I do own the original PS VR for PS4, as well as Meta Quest 2 and now Meta Quest 3. I don't play action games beyond demo because I get severe motion sickness and nothing non-drowsy really helps. I do use my Quest 3 for VR environment strolling (slow) and watching big screen videos. I decided to plunge because I play GT7 and got a lot of positive reviews. I did enjoy the VR environment while driving, with extensive efforts using motion sickness remedies. There were three persistent issues: 1) getting properly focused, 2) my eye balls touching the lens, and 3) my view staying properly focused. The latter I bought third party straps and masks which move less, and also provide a bit of distance of lens with my eyes. However, I never was able to get it sharp enough for all regions within movement of my eyes. There will always be regions out of focus. I tried both eye tracking on and off. This is an advantage on Meta Quest 3, which I get sharp visuals everywhere despite it has lower resolution than PSVR2. I did reading the focus comparison with evaluating influencers, but they conveyed in a subtle manner. I can definitely vouch for the uniform sharpness issue for myself. I was surprised I was willing to cope with the motion sickness matter - just so I can play GT7 in it, but could not justify the price with the the inconsistent sharpness of what suppose to be superior lens to Meta Quest 3. The quality of the materials is excellent, and I'm sure there are other games you can appreciate the experience this device gives you. So best to go for it and experience yourself!

Great vr experience I would purchase again. Works as intended

I got PSVR2 mainly to start playing GT7 in VR. Coming from PSVR1’s GT Sport, the experience is night and day different. Expectational details with amazing head rumble feature, totally feels like you are in a super car or the car you ever wanted to see and drive. It is undoubtedly the best VR racing experience in any platform right now. A must try. Can’t wait to get into other games. $550 is totally with it for the next gen VR experience and it is actually similar pricing compared to PSVR1 factoring in the controller and the required camera.

As a 41 yr old I told myself along time ago (ps2) I was done with video games, at least until there was VR, Then VR came out and I didn't hear much about it. I at a party and someone had me try this (ps5+VR gen2) with Resident Evil 4 and I couldn't believe how amazing it was! I had to have one 6 days later dropped $1400.

This thing is awesome!!…. Was skeptical at first but once I was done with the set up and started playing resident evil village it blew me away! I spent about 10 mins just tripping out on the whole view it gives you, where ever you look it’s all around you…. It’s crazy actually being in the middle on the game, the way it puts you dead center in the action and the views and just overall detail is awesome! Was definitely happy with this purchase and can’t wait for more VR games for the PlayStation to come out….

This is my first experience with VR so I have nothing to compare it to. I was disappointed at first because the visuals were so blurry even after calibrating it. I put my distance glasses on and it was miles better. I didn't wan't to scratch the lenses with my glasses so I ordered prescription lens inserts. Having a blast now! So far having the most fun with the newly updated for PSVR2 No Man's Sky, Kayak, and Beat Saber. Lot's of new games coming out for this headset!

I’ve had the ps5 now for a few years and my sons have been using it pretty consistently. Haven’t had any problems with it whatsoever. They really have been enjoying using it and I also steam my blue rays on it and it works great. Highly recommend!

Awesome!!! Simply awesome. Nothing more nothing less. But awesome comes at a price. For some it may be worth it for other not. Depends on how into VR you are? But this to me is as good as it gets for a somewhat reasonable price. I have a PSVR, PSVR2, oculus quest 2, and meta quest 3. This is my go to. Yes it is wired but if you have a PS5 the experience is unrivaled to me. From the visuals to the controller haptic the experience is there.

Extremely comfortable and very immersive thanks to the little flaps that block anything from the outside. Also has a pass through button so you can see your wife when she walks by without lifting the headset and staring through the small gap and giving yourself an eye migraine. Controllers are also super light and have at least a 3 or 4 hour long battery.

Works amazing with Grand Turismo 7 and wheel. I had to return my unit because the right controller had issues registering button presses (particularly the trigger, which is a known wide-spread issue for early units). My replacement PSVR 2 is arriving in a few days and then I’ll update my review once I can fully test out the controllers with Resident Evil 4.

This is the COOLEST thing ever. Originally got one as a gift, from Amazon. It didnt work. Returned it and bought one here. Works 100%. Opted for the geek squad protection. Paid 80.00 for a FULL 2 year warranty. Even covers drops and power surge damage. Worth every single penny.....headset as well. Lotssssss of fun.

Okay so havent used VR before this since arcades in the late 90s, HOLY CRAP this thing is all kinds of dope, gran turismo 7 is just amazing PSVR2 is worth it just for that game, add in a virtual 4k screen for anything not vr enabled, is like want a giant tv but short on space and cash, psvr2 has you, avid racer and want to take the experience to the next level, its got you, BUY IT and revel in the joy this wonderful tech has in store for you, Do it now!

I bought this mostly to play Gran Turismo 7 in VR which to me is worth the cost of the headset. Throughout its release year there have been games here and there that interest me, but they have released in a less than ideal state. Software might not be it’s strong suit right now, but the hardware is impressive. Will have to see what the future holds in store for gaming experiences on this headset.

i use my PSVR2 alot i love vr i play both PC and PSVR the PSVR1 was my first VR experience so i had to grt it and i love it and i am still going to continue to use it until i need a new one 10/10 will buy again
