Expensive but worth it from every aspect
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was for my 17 year old son that has been doing nothing but raving about this product ever since it was picked up he can’t stop telling me how amazing it is in every single way i know it’s a video game system and I should not probably be happy for him to be so in love with this but as parent especially of a neurodivergent kid it really brings you joy to see your child so passionate about something

Good purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lightweight but bulky. It’s difficult to put on and take off with long hair. After about 3 to 4 hours I get motionsick and have to put it down for the day

Its a lot of fun!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a 41 yr old I told myself along time ago (ps2) I was done with video games, at least until there was VR, Then VR came out and I didn't hear much about it. I at a party and someone had me try this (ps5+VR gen2) with Resident Evil 4 and I couldn't believe how amazing it was! I had to have one 6 days later dropped $1400.

Great experience!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the VR2 a couple months ago and it has been a blast. The graphics are better than I thought they would be. I have gran turismo and beat sabers. Both very fun games. I’m a lot better playing GT with the headset on, rather than off. It’s an awesome experience. So much easier to drive in VR. I’m horrible at driving without it. All and all I’m really enjoying it.

Read before buying
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for Resident Evil 4. The VR headset is good. The controllers are little weird but it does take time to get use to. The headset itself is ok. The headset moves too much on your head so everything goes blurry, so you have to adjust it. It is good step for PlayStation. Way better than the previous psvr. And one more thing before you buy the headset, there isn’t that many games you could buy for it.

Great for Gran Turismo 7
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To set my baseline expectations in the review, I do own the original PS VR for PS4, as well as Meta Quest 2 and now Meta Quest 3. I don't play action games beyond demo because I get severe motion sickness and nothing non-drowsy really helps. I do use my Quest 3 for VR environment strolling (slow) and watching big screen videos. I decided to plunge because I play GT7 and got a lot of positive reviews. I did enjoy the VR environment while driving, with extensive efforts using motion sickness remedies. There were three persistent issues: 1) getting properly focused, 2) my eye balls touching the lens, and 3) my view staying properly focused. The latter I bought third party straps and masks which move less, and also provide a bit of distance of lens with my eyes. However, I never was able to get it sharp enough for all regions within movement of my eyes. There will always be regions out of focus. I tried both eye tracking on and off. This is an advantage on Meta Quest 3, which I get sharp visuals everywhere despite it has lower resolution than PSVR2. I did reading the focus comparison with evaluating influencers, but they conveyed in a subtle manner. I can definitely vouch for the uniform sharpness issue for myself. I was surprised I was willing to cope with the motion sickness matter - just so I can play GT7 in it, but could not justify the price with the the inconsistent sharpness of what suppose to be superior lens to Meta Quest 3. The quality of the materials is excellent, and I'm sure there are other games you can appreciate the experience this device gives you. So best to go for it and experience yourself!

Sony VR's what Nintendon't
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on sale. Wouldn't have purchased otherwise. That being said... It's pretty great tech! Several fun games that are worthwhile as of the time of this review. Whether or not Sony continues supporting it... only time will tell. They do have a tendency to not support their handhelds and various other peripherals such as this. Hopefully that won't be the case here. Oh... also... they really dropped the ball by not figuring out how to make VR1 games compatible without developer updates. Get with the program, game devs!

Blown away honestly.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes. The price is high if this is your first venture into VR and you don’t know what to expect. But I think that most who have experienced VR before will tell you that this is an absolute steal. Please throw away your worries and just give it a shot. There’s a very high chance you won’t be disappointed. I speak from experience.

One of the best VR experiences you can buy
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is just one of those things that you need to try. Pictures and game videos don't do it justice. Even watching the gameplay on TV while someone uses it couldn't possibly describe how lifelike environments look. If you're afraid of accidentally smashing your TV, there are virtual borders you can set around yourself that once broken, will stop the game and ask that you step back. VR games are not as full-featured as regular games, but they are a real trip into another dimension.

Works great with Grand Turismo
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works amazing with Grand Turismo 7 and wheel. I had to return my unit because the right controller had issues registering button presses (particularly the trigger, which is a known wide-spread issue for early units). My replacement PSVR 2 is arriving in a few days and then I’ll update my review once I can fully test out the controllers with Resident Evil 4.
