    Love them, but have some issues with music sometime cutting in and out. You can fix this in settings but was quite annoying for a few days.

    They hurt to wear and don't have a secure fit to my ears. Trust me I tried all available sizes. Another thing is that it doesn't have a lot of base to them like you'd expect them to.

    I purchased these to replace a pair of WH-1000XM4’s, the left earbud battery only lasts about 1 hour. The microphone quality for phone calls is terrible, nothing but complaints about not being able to be heard. Sound quality for music/movie playback is excellent. I’ll be returning these.

    I've been using these for 10 months now and I don't recommend. I own a WH-1000XM4 for 6 years now and it's superb. I would have been happy if these performed half as good but they don't. Noise cancelling is almost non existent. Fit doesn't work for me and sound quality is just OK. My 7 years old cheap Samsung earbuds bits these. Disappointed given these are pricy.

    Malfunction after a year

    [Employee of bestbuy] I use them every other day to listen to stuff while I work and after around a year of use they start to automatically connect to my phone when they're in my pocket, they don't dock properly--which causes them to run out of battery while they aren't in use, and the case seems pretty poorly made, it doesn't seem to close right and just putting it in your pocket just seems to damage it (i usually have them in jean pockets that aren't tight, just fit) I'll probably swap to samsung earbuds next time. Also the previous model would run out of battery in minutes from full charge after a year so I hope it doesn't happen with these.

    Eartips wear out and you can’t get replacements

    The eartips are memory foam. They wear out after about 6 months of regular use and you cannot buy original replacements, they are continually out of stock. You can get knock offs elsewhere that don’t have the filter screen, but if you want the originals you’re at the mercy of Sony and they’ll only send one pair of replacements and after that they’ll direct you to the product page where you can buy them, where they have been out of stock for the last several months. They said there is some outside factor, I have previously had Airpods pro and bose earbuds and never had the problem because they are coated in silicone

    Ear tips dont fit

    I haved owned the XM4s for two years, and just purchased the 5’s. None of the included tips will create a proper seal in my ears (as confirmed by Sony’s software). Without a tight seal, sound quality is really bad. There appears to be no options, as Sony doesnt make xl tips, and I cant find anything acceptable online. Looks like these are getting returned, which is unfortunate.

      For optimum fit and comfort, make sure that you are wearing the headphones properly. Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The most suitable size of the earbud tips for left and right ears may be different.     Not better than XM4

    XM4 has better sound, bass, and noice cancellation. Only bought these because they were on sale and my XM4 battery life doesnt hold through a full workout

    These weren’t for me. For the price I expected a better fit and a better feel in the quality. Sound quality was good but again not something I can tell the difference with compared to others. I’d increase the rating if the price was more in line with AirPod pros.
