The sound quality is one of the best that I ever heard. Strongly recommend this when it goes on sale.

Not worth the price. XM4's were way better.

The XM5 sporadically will stop playing on one ear, and then start playing again. This has not been fixed yet with a firmware update. This issue is very brief and only lasts less than 1 second. i also find myself always having to adjust the earbuds in my ear because they feel like they will fall out or the noise cancelation is not working correctly and i have tried different sized tips. Overall i dont like the XM5.

We're sorry to hear that you have an issue with the audio playback and noise canceling feature of your Sony unit. Please set the earbuds to “Priority on stable connection” using the Headphone Connect app. Disable Speak-to-Chat feature. The Speak-to-Chat mode starts automatically when you talk to someone. The headset pauses or mutes the music being played. It may sound like the sound skips when this occurs, but it is not a malfunction. Please follow this link for more details:

Great ear buds

I had a roommate that snored so loudly I could not sleep.I used these earbuds with white noise and slep like a baby. Definitely worth every penny

Great earbuds

My only complaint is I wish battery life were slightly longer, and it has very intermittent connection issues.

This symptom is sometimes related to an interference issue. Please try the following steps, which often resolve intermittent audio quality drops:
Disable DSEE Extreme: If you are using the Sony | Headphones Connect app, try turning off the DSEE Extreme feature to see if it stabilizes the connection and audio processing.
Prioritize "Stable Connection": In the Sony | Headphones Connect app, go to the Sound tab and set the Bluetooth Connection Quality to "Priority on Stable Connection" instead of "Priority on Sound Quality." This often prevents drops or static, especially in high-interference environments.
If the issue persists, please check for and install any available firmware updates via the app.

The noise canceling helps him to only hear the music he plays and he doesn't hear the sound of the mower or weedeater!! He absolutely loves them
