If you feel discomfort or find that your Sony ear tips sit oddly on your ears after extended use, it is recommended to try different ear tip sizes. Your earbuds likely came with multiple ear tip sizes, and finding the right fit can greatly enhance comfort and sound quality. It's essential to ensure a snug fit, which not only improves comfort but also enhances noise cancellation and overall audio performance.

Hi SaidR, Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your WF1000XM5. We're very happy to hear you like the great sound quality and fit of these earbuds. When the Noise Canceling function is set to ON, or the Ambient Sound Control is set to ON, the wind noise may be louder depending on the usage conditions. If this is the case, check the following:
In the Sony | Headphones Connect app, tap Sound → Ambient Sound Control, and then select Automatic Wind Noise Reduction. If you are bothered by wind noise even though the Automatic Wind Noise Reduction is enabled, set the Noise Canceling function and the Ambient Sound Mode to OFF.
Notes:
When the headphones detect wind over a certain amount of air volume the Automatic Wind Noise Reduction feature turns off some of the microphones used for noise canceling. You will notice that the Noise Canceling function becomes weaker in a windy environment with this setting. This is not a malfunction.
The Automatic Wind Noise Reduction feature will not start working with only a slight amount of wind.
