I'm a huge Samsung fan and have had galaxy buds for the past 10 years and have never had a pair of buds that had such good call quality. the only con that I have for them is that they don't have an ambient sound booster, but besides that, id pick these all day.

Great earbuds, but pricey
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually buy JBLs on sale every year for different purposes. They're solid and they sound nice. Apple Beats are nice as well, but abit overpriced. Samsung earbuds sound nice, but they don't last. So it was time to try Sony earbuds. Alright, using the sound connect software I was able to get the equalizer the way I wanted, and voice control working in a reasonable fashion. Again, they sound nice, are they the best sounding earbuds I've heard? No, higher end JBLs sound better, but these do sound better than my Apple Studio Beats earbuds. Now onto the negatives. Like I mentioned, these sound good, but only as good as JBL Tune 235s which sounds great BTW. Better than my JBL Endurance 2 earbuds. They sound better than my Beats, but not as good as my JBL Live 2 Free TWS. Those are about $110 cheaper on sale compared to the Sony WF1000XM5s. Summary: Overall build quality seems nicer on the Sony's WF1000XM5 compared to JBLs. Honestly, they're the 2nd best overall just right behind my JBL Live Free 2 TWS. All important question, are these worth the money? On sale, and you're a Sony guy (I own several over the ear Sony headsets) it's a yes. If you're new to high performance earbuds, go with higher end JBLs. You're not losing much, the software is good, and they sound great for the price. Overall, the Sony's are still a 5, if I did not have the higher end JBLS, I wouldn't be anything to complain about.

To make them sound better i have them over a year an there still sound great would buy them again

Fast connectivity to different devices. The carrying case for this one is smaller than what I'm used to making me kinda scared of losing it. The case has an interesting gritty texture but overall great audio and great call quality. Fits very comfortable in my ears.

The foam on the Sony buds provides a much more comfortable and secure fit with my ear piercings. The sound is also phenomenal!

After using these for a month or so i still am amazed by the effectiveness of the active noise cancellation. Sound quality is incredible, bass is there, mids are there and highs are there. I’ve had every gen and the pros as well. I made the switch to Sony very reluctantly but my little brother recommended them after I lost my AirPods. So I gave them a chance and WOW! They are truly amazing headphones. The ANC and Passthrough is phenomenal. Along with the customs sound profile they create for spatial and surround sounds I crazy. These will easily blow every other in ear headphones out of the water!! I will never be going back to apple for headphones. 10/10! Treat yourself and get these headphones. Your ears will thank you! It’s truly like youre hearing everything for the first time again. The rich quality and deep base is insane!

I had previously shied way from “truly wireless” because they honestly are a bit less convenient. I liked how my B&W’s can just hang around my neck when not in use. However, I started to get tired of them feeling sticky in my neck during workouts, so I got their truly wireless ones and was disappointed in that older songs sounded amazing but newer ones could sound bass heavy. So I tried these Sony’s. They are top notch. Although they don’t have they amazing soundstage older songs had with the B&Ws, they do sound fantastic and neutral and not “bass enhanced.” The app is handy, the noise cancellation works very very well, way better than the B&Ws, they are very comfy overall and the bud tips seems to be a type of memory foam, only in the shape of your typical silicon tips. Excellent product. I still switch back to my B&Ws that can hang around my neck in situations where I may want to do that, because taking the buds out of your ears and putting them in a case all the time isn’t as convenient, but I will what’s wear these to the gym, etc.

The different size buds are good but sometimes cause interference when useing them. Its a static type of sound when chewing or working that happens if the wrong size is on. Which can be annoying. Never had that issue with the beats. But over all sound quality is great.

If the sound is distorted or you hear noise, place the headphones in the charging case, close the lid, wait for about 10 seconds, and then wear them again. Also, try restarting the connected device. Ensure that the earbud tips are firmly and completely attached to the earbuds. Amazing For In-The-Ear Headphones
