    These had great sound. Unfortunately they did not fit in my ears and caused great irritation in my right ear. I tried every single little ear tip size and there was no difference in the way they fit.

    Horrible bluetooth conncection

    I used the XF1000XM5 buds for a year, but lately the connection with my Samsung watch and phone is horrible. There is a lot of interference; I practically cannot use the buds on the street and in my gym. I asked Sony to replace the old buds, and got new one. But, I still have a lot of interference even with the new one. I also still have XF1000XM4 and they do not have any connection issues. Very disappointed with XF1000XM5.

      First, for optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Sound Connect app). Here's the link for the firmware update.

      Second, please try these steps to resolve the connection issue:
      -Check that the headset is turned on.
      -Check that the Bluetooth device is turned on and the Bluetooth function is on.
      -If the headset automatically connects to the last connected Bluetooth device, you may fail to connect the headset to other devices via a Bluetooth connection. If this is the case, operate the last connected Bluetooth device and disconnect the Bluetooth connection.
      -Check if the Bluetooth device is in sleep mode. If the device is in sleep mode, cancel the sleep mode.
      -Check if the Bluetooth connection has been terminated. If terminated, make the Bluetooth connection again.
      -If the pairing information for the headset has been deleted on the Bluetooth device, pair the headset with the device again.
      -Charge the charging case.
      -Set the headset units into the charging case, and close the charging case lid.
      (You may be able to resolve some issues by setting the headset units into the charging case.)
      -Reset the headset.
      -Initialize the headset, and pair the headset and the device again.

    If you want a headphone with a high price tag that will absolutely ruin your workouts by cutting out, shutting off, feeding static and needing constant tweaking, then this is the headphone for you. These are COMPLETE GARBAGE. The connection is unstable at best and constantly sounds like the right headphone is cutting out. And none of the “fixes” you will find in the troubleshooting will work. Oh and every time you touch them it triggers some sort of action; pause, noise cancelling changes to ambient…which would be ok if they didn’t constantly fall out. So you are always stuck adjusting them and they screwing around with them bc of some action the “tap” triggered. But if you want to tap them to pause them? Yeah, doesn’t really work. Maddening. I’ve owned these for about 2 months. I replaced an old set of Bose with them. Today I’m going to Beat Buy to try and exchange them. If they refuse it’s 300 wasted. Sony used to be a gold standard. If these are indicative of where they are now it’s sad. Do NOT buy these. Unless you want a headphone to be like a bad relationship that you constantly fight in. Then these are perfect.

    Incompetent design choices and don't sound good

    Sony has had 5 generations to figure out how to put a mesh filter over their earbud nozzle, instead in typical sony fashion they innovate in a way nobody asked and sell you the solution: we put the mesh on the eartips. Great, but the eartips SUCK. These things slip out of my ears no matter what size im using because Sony didn't design these for human ears. Aftermarket foam tips gave me a better fit and seal, but thats literally an addition to an already steep price tag. Lets talk about where the true problem is, the sound and your lack of options for tuning said sound. I love bass, infact you might say I'm a bass enthusiast, but I HATE the bass on these. Sonys "clear bass" is an audio travesty, an algorithm that "enhances" and blows out the low end just making it muddied, it sounds unnatural and offends my ears. It completely misses out on warmth, lacks in bounce, and offers no depth. Essentialy just makes low end things go thud, incredibly sloppy for a flagship 300 dollar product. "But dont use clear bass" you may say, in which I say if you don't then the bass is flimsy. Absolutely hate this direction on sound tuning, its lazy, the eq options are lackluster at best, and Sony couldn't be bothered to tune them properly out of the box and instead invested in gimmicks on "enhancing" it. Make a good product next time Sony

    Love the earbuds, except one huge detail. They won’t allow you to track lost or misplaced earbuds with iPhones. Actually my second pair I’ve brought, because I misplaced the first pair, and didn’t have anyway to see where they were last or ping them like you can if you have a Samsung

    To be honest, it's not as good as the airpods pro 2 in that (1) ANC is weak (2) it's not on the same par in terms of sound (3) the tips that come with it are very low quality and looks like it will easily rip apart with time. I like the multi-connection tho.

    Great Until They Aren't

    I absolutely love these headphones. It took me a long time to find earbuds that work for me. I am giving it two stars because they stopped working after 13 months....1 month after the warranty was up. Very low sound is coming out of the right ear. And now the left ear won't connect. These headphones are way too expensive to only work for a little over a year.

    They're good, I guess. Not as good as I hoped for, but ok. I was actually going to return them for over the ears, but apparently Best Buy only has a 14 day return policy unless you pay them even more money than the thousands of dollars a year I already spend there.

    Left earbud rarely connects Doesn’t hold charge very long. Owned less then a year and left one doesn’t work at all and charger lights up but won’t charge anymore. Strongly recommend not to purchase this product. One star is being generous.
