We're sorry to hear that you have an issue with the audio playback and noise canceling feature of your Sony unit. Please set the earbuds to “Priority on stable connection” using the Headphone Connect app. Disable Speak-to-Chat feature. The Speak-to-Chat mode starts automatically when you talk to someone. The headset pauses or mutes the music being played. It may sound like the sound skips when this occurs, but it is not a malfunction. Please follow this link for more details:

Regarding your concerns about noise cancellation, it is important to ensure that the headphones are worn properly for optimal performance. The noise canceling function can be significantly affected if the earbuds do not fit properly. For better noise cancellation, try using different sizes of ear tips and make sure that the noise-canceling function is enabled and correctly adjusted using the Sony | Headphones Connect app.
