I usually have problems with pods staying in my ears. This fit well and are comfortable. Sound is great. Wish the color was more pink or purple. They're called smoky pink .battery case charges pods and charge lasts a long time. Very happy with my choice

So, overall, I like the earbuds. I’m honestly not typically a fan of earbuds as they tend to be uncomfortable, don’t sound as good as over-ear headphones, and they fall out. These actually stay in place really well, and they come with multiple sized ear pieces for the best fit. They do sound pretty good, and the accompanying app does a good job of helping to customize your sound profiles. The ANC is fine. I don’t know how it compares to other brands and lines, but it certainly doesn’t block out all sound or anything. It definitely helps. I wouldn’t say they are comfortable, but I’ve never worn earbuds that were. To me, it’s more important they stay in when moving and sound decent, which these do. My only real complaint is the rubber that is used for the ear caps attracts wax like a magnet and is rather hard to clean. It looks pretty gross. Within a month of first getting them, I thought one of them broke because the volume dropped to a weirdly low level, just in one ear. It turned out the screen on the ear cap was clogged. It was hard to clean it off. Overall, I’m happy with them, but I wouldn’t spend the money again if they were to break (they better not).

I’m getting right to the point, these buds are hands down best sounding buds I’ve used to date. I own XM4 & Apple AirPod Pros ( gen 2) they’re good , but these XM5’s are @ another whole level.. Sound, ANC, fit, function all Awesome. App is easy to use, customize & there are a bunch of options to get these XM5 to your liken. I used stock foams that came on Bud with no issue what so ever. Yes a little more expensive, but you get what you’re paying for!

These are absolutely brilliant. Sony has a hand and leg in everything: making films, cameras, music and other everyday technologies. These prove that Sony is ahead of the game when it comes to music quality, quality materials and comfort. They know what listeners want, a superb listening product without sacrificing battery, sound and looks. Bass is absolutely deep and amazing, as well as treble, mids and everything in between. If the stock listening profile isn’t to your taste then it’s easily customizable in the app that carries on throughout the listening experience even when you close the app. The price is worth it because you are getting a clean, rich and deep listening experience. You can’t beat the amazing battery life on the buds and charging case itself, if you’re a traveler, hiker, gym goer or even just a stay at home person, these should be your go to. You won’t regret it

The Sony WF-1000XM5 are outstanding for people invested in great quality earbuds. The case can be charged through USB as well as wireless which is a great convenient feature. They’re smaller and lighter than their predecessor and in my opinion, much more comfortable to wear. They support Bluetooth 5.3 and SBC, AAC, and of course, the high quality LDAc codec. I’m an IPhone user and not able to take advantage of all the features available but that not withstanding, the Sony WF-1000XM5 are extremely friendly to the Apple ecosystem. I bought them for their noise-canceling performance which is superior, not by much, to the Bose Quiet Comfort ll and leaves the AirPods Pro 2 in the dust. Their sound quality is superb and Bluetooth multipoint connectivity is worth the steep price tag. Battery-wise, the WF-1000XM5 are rated for 8 hours of continuous play, and 24 hours of I include the case. For me they last 10 hours and 5 minutes on a single charge and I couldn’t be happier. They have a waterproof rating of IPX4 which is fine with me . Overall, excellent product for active people who enjoy great quality earbuds at a great price.

This is my first pair of Sony earbuds so only comparison is to other brands. The charging case: I like that it is small enough to easily carry in a front pocket, but it can take some digging around to find it if tossed in a backpack/computer bag. I haven’t used buds with foam tips in years. These came with 5 sets. I had to go to the largest set and was able to get a good seal that stayed in the right ear, but not in the left. It would initially seal but lose it in a couple minutes and I’d have to twist and wiggle it back in. Maybe I need an extra large cushion for that ear if available I’ve used these at work and easily make it through a busy day with multiple conference calls and listening to music while working on a project. I found the sound quality to be good, with a balance of highs and lows. Playing with the equalizer settings in the app gave them a little more bass, but I’m sure some would find them lacking in the deep end of the spectrum. The noise canceling was good in the work environment and no issues with sound from the mic. I also had the chance to use them in a flight and I just don’t think earbuds will ever have enough noise canceling for me. I had to turn the volume all the way up for the movie I was watching on my iPad. I don’t have this issue with over the ear headphones. Overall I think the build quality on these earbud are great and they sound good as well. I’d recommend them for those who know their ears don’t require larger tips to be sure they can get a good seal in both ears.

Audio quality and ANC is excellent, and battery life has been pretty good. The bluetooth connection reliability is spotty, and multipoint seems to be almost non-functional. I constantly have to put them in the case and then pull them back out to get them to reconnect, or manually disconnect/connect from phone settings to make the switch to between my personal and work phones. Also, they take a bit of messing with to get them to drop in to the case in right orientation if you're not focused on putting them away.

When I first bought these earbuds I was skeptical at first because I’ve had Sony earbuds in the past because I love their sound and ANC. Battery issues have caused issues in the past, but with these that’s no issue. Size and sound, and ANC are all amazing and I love what Sony has done with these buds. I also switched to silicone eartips for extra comfort.

The sound quality on these is excellent. The battery lasts a long time also. The only downside is you have to install the app to get the full customization benefits of sound and whatnot. It is only a minor inconvenience for the benefits the app gives you. I appreciate being able to customize the bass/trebel/etc. and choosing when I want ambient sound or sound canceling. They also have four different foam bud sizes so you can comfortably fit them in your ear. They are lightweight and stay in place even while exercising. I could see the potential to fall out if you were doing something crazy like crossfit or HIIT, but I haven’t tried it so I don’t know for sure. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been using the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds, and they’re fantastic. The sound is super clear and detailed, with great bass. The noise cancellation works really well, and they fit comfortably in my ears even for long periods. Battery life is solid, and they’re easy to carry around. The only minor downside is they’re a bit pricey, but for the quality, it’s worth it.

it's great for everyday use. Great Sound quality. The battery last for the whole day. The recharge is fast. The only problem would be answering phone calls as the volume is not high enough and the outside sounds affect the calls most of the time

My biggest gripe: using the microphone tanks both audio and microphone quality, rendering them unusable. Intermittent Cutouts: After a few hours of PC use, the audio completely cuts out, even though it appears to be playing fine on the PC side. A full restart is the only fix. I reinstalled Windows, but the gremlin persists. Phone Perfection: In stark contrast, phone connectivity shines. No glitches, just seamless, high-quality audio on the go. The Verdict: The Sony WF-1000XM5 are undoubtedly audiophile-grade earbuds, delivering immersive listening experiences and remarkable battery life. However, the crippling PC issues, particularly the microphone and intermittent cutouts, cast a dark shadow over their versatility. While these issues might not affect phone users, they're dealbreakers for those seeking a reliable PC audio solution. Recommendation: If you prioritize stellar audio quality, impressive battery life, and primarily use your earbuds with your phone, the WF-1000XM5 are a compelling choice. But for PC users, proceed with caution until Sony addresses these connectivity woes. Consider alternative options that offer a smoother PC experience, even if they fall slightly short in the audio department.

Definitely the best ear pods I've owned since High school and I'm 27 now. The only gripe I have is the case maybe needing something like Velcro, so if you drop by accident, your headphones won't go in two different directions. It's definitely scary losing these at the price point they're at. Connectivity is also very nice, as soon as you put them in your ear it's paired immediately (As long as BT is active that is) . As far as the battery, it lasts quite a bit through my work shift which is about 8:30am-5:30pm. I've noticed that the Left earpod usually drains faster for some reason, but that's just something to stay aware of. Other than that the charging is also relatively fast as well, the feature to have noise cancelling and ambient sound makes thing pretty cool and it works very nicely. Talking through the earpods also seem to work very well, no one really has trouble hearing me unless I'm quiet on my end because I'm soft spoken sometimes. So like I said, this is by far my favorite pair that I have owned in my history of buying earpods. I was looking for headphones at the time and got pretty much sold into getting these and I honestly do not regret my purchase and I hope the same goes to you!!

The WF1000xm5 was used to replace my WF1000xm3 which still worked and sounded great. The Xm5's are a lot smaller and more comfortable than the XM3's. The XM5's sound every bit as good as the XM3's and maybe even better bass response, perhaps due to a better fit? I do NOT however like tapping the earbuds 4 times to change the volume. This is a real problem on the right earbud as tapping either plays the next song or backs up one song and is very hard to get it to increase the volume! This needs to be changed via a software update as it is a useless function, (as is) and I have to retrieve my FIIO player to change the volume, really a pita at midnight. Other than that I really like the earbuds. I love the Sony App and the battery life is great. Gary

I’m a little disappointed in these earbuds, but not completely unsatisfied either. The noise cancelling is phenomenal—even while running my riding lawn mower or tractor, I can barely hear the engine. The sound quality is solid, and they fit comfortably. My biggest gripe is the volume. I get that Sony likely keeps it capped for liability and hearing protection reasons, but I paid a premium for these and I’m a grown adult capable of making my own choices. I don’t use headphones often, but when I do it’s usually while working outside or working out—and in those moments, I want loud music. These just don’t deliver the punch I was looking for. I’m not expecting over-ear headphone levels, but at full volume I could almost take a nap with them in. If you’re buying them for plane travel, phone calls, or casual listening, you’ll probably love them. Everything else—the noise cancellation, comfort, sound quality—is top-notch. But if, like me, you want your earbuds to crank up and push you through a workout or a day of yard work, you may find yourself wishing for more.

Quality wise excellent product. Also fit far better in ear than the previous model did. However does come with couple of caveats. Most notably connection issues arise, when connected to more than one device at a time, connection will cut in-and-out. Also has difficulty staying connected to my Windows Laptop, even if it’s the only device it is bluetoothed to. Fine connection with my iPhone and Nintendo Switch. tldr: Is more of a 4.5 than a 4 star.

These Earbuds are small and easy to carry when not in use. They sound Very Good, and fit in my ear without the feeling of falling out. A few times I forgot I had them in my ear.

Pros: Lots of sound in a small packag. Cons: Don't seem to have the same level of ANC as the xm4s but really close. Still don't have location feature. I wasn't going to buy these after my XM4s suffered the dreaded battery issue, but for some reason my local Best Buys didnt have any of the Sennheiers in stock and were at least two weeks out on having them shipped to me. That said, reading numerours reviews gave me the impression that the XM5s still hold the top spot for ANC in this price range even if it is slightly less than the XM4s. I can sit in a loud room with the ANC on, and as long as i have music or something else playing, even at a low level, i really have to try hard to hear nosie from the room. As far as the talk to pause feature goes, it still sucks, a cough, sigh, heavy breath still activates it, if you stop talking to listen to someone else talk, it will start playing whatever you are listing to causing you to interrupt them while hitting pause or speaking to pause again. I am no audiophile by any means but the sound these produce is great, very clear sound, and the bass is crazy (definitely need to make sure you have the right tips for your ears though, they'll still sound good but the bass falls off). Others did complain about how difficult these were to setup, i didnt really find the setup difficult, just a little to much seemed like it tool an hour to due but in realitywas probablyabout 15mins. Definitely more setup options than i remember the xm4s having. Should you buy if you have working XM4s? I would say no, unless you have comfort issues, there's just not that many differences other than the size. If you are coming from the XM4s or others brands that have had issues effecting their use i would recommend the extended warranty if you can swing it, i got it this go around just in case.
