They're easy to care, work wonderfully, and have surprisingly good audio quality. I can keep them in for long stretches of time without having them feel uncomfortable.

Connection is not as good as xm4

But it's way comfortable then XM4, so keeping them.

If you are looking for a clear and high sound quality sound these are the headphones for you. The battery lasts very long. The bass is outstanding especially, with the app. You can adjust the amount of bass or the type of sound you prefer.

They did not feel like they were heavy enough to fall off like the last model. Really nice color options as well. Noice canceling was top notch as well as the transparency feature. Feels light enough to forget its even in my ear.

The fit of the buds does matter, but once it fits, it works great!! The buds are smaller than I expected but that works for my small ears. The touch capabilities arent as customizable as I would like but thats a minor detail.

Great sound but with faults

Thankfully it seems a software update has fixed it. The app is awful and the tips get so dirty easily even with clean ears. I think for the price, I’d buy something else. I’ve had better overall experience with AirPods Pro than these ones.

Great headphones

The battery life is great they laster longer then my workday and the comfort is great after have one in though most of the day i some times forget that they are there. Side note both can be use individually so you can switch from your right to your left or use both i mostly use just the right one.

Great!…as wireless earbuds go.

But when Sony recently sunsetted that model, I got a pair of these X5 Wireless earbuds to replace them. In general they are what I expected; good sound, good noise cancelling, and enough battery for about 2 days of all day use without charging. I really appreciated the app’s “fit test” feature to help you find the right size tips to get the best noise cancelling. While I still wish I could just get another pair of the really great wired buds sony used to sell, after using these daily for about a month I don’t regret buying them and overall they are definately the best pair of *wireless* earbuds I’ve ever used.

Good but some downsides

They work really well and I like the ability to customize the touch controls. I have three complaints though. First, the touch controls are way too sensitive. It’s very easy to accidentally turn off and on the noise cancellation. When my hair is wet, I can’t wear them since it just constantly pushes the buttons. Second, the noise cancellation is not great. There’s not a huge difference between when it is on and off. Third, the automatic “smart” noise cancellation that tries to recognize when you would want it on or off is backwards. It always turns off the noise cancellation when I’m in a noisy area, which is exactly when I need the noise cancellation more.

Compared to the last iteration, the noise cancelling seems to have tighten up a bit. Not by much but enough to notice within an earplug environment. Each bud will last you 8hrs each. Would recommend if you're looking to upgrade.

The noise canceling is superb. Only problem is after wearing them for an hour they start to hurt and they dont stay on when running

I currently own wired Bose noise cancelling earbuds and wife has Apple Air Pods 2, so I have good reference points. Positives: Good, not great ANC, but this could be due to fit. From a few technical reviews, Apple Air Pods 2 (10 dB ANC reduction), Sony & Bose QC II (~ 30 dB ANC reduction) at 1000 Hz and below (e.g., airplane engine drone). Bad: (1) The main body of the earbud is mounted above the ear canal (see the stock pictures) without support below the ear canal. Talking or chewing causes the earbuds to loosen, sometimes fall out, and affects ANC quality. (2) I have been professionally fitted for earplugs and know the size of my ear canals. Most earbuds fit out of the box (average size). I had to use the super small (SS) plugs to get a reasonable fit without being uncomfortable and ear canal hurting after 15 minutes. (3) Fully charged the battery lasted 4 hours and 22 minutes on a cross country flight with ANC turned on. The literature says 6 hours max (ANC) and 7 hours (w/o ANC). (4) I have Apple products. Sony uses USB-C but does not provide the charging cable. I purchased Bose QC II earbuds for the flight home, A huge improvement compared to the new Sony earbuds. Bose's ANC was slightly better, they stayed in place even while eating, were comfortable, and lasted 5 hours 45 minutes (ANC on) before receiving a low battery alert. Bose's technical specification is a 6 hour battery life.

Okay option..

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using them for awhile, they sound good compared to other buds only down side I'd say is the bulkiness of them also they started to give me problems connecting properly I should say they do connect but I hear nothing come out of them at first I thought it could be my phone (pixel 7 pro) but I recently changed to a Samsung s22 and it has the same issue at times where I have to place it in the case for them to work (sometimes it takes several times) don't know if it was caused my an update I know they didn't use to have that problem at first. I'd say they're a good option if you plan to use them for awhile then just upgrade to the newer ones (that's what I did upgraded from the xm4s)

Great earphones with minor issues.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Some of the best earphones I have ever had, I will say it is only worth it if the AirPods Pro are not on sale, definitely worth the extra 50$ if you can afford it. One gripe I have is the ear pieces were quite painful, and they ripped after just two weeks, but there are great replacements on Amazon pretty cheap. It will take some time to get used to if you are used to only silicone tips. The sound quality on these is absolutely insane. They have what feels like a very large soundstage, and a 5 point equalizer to make the sound profile you desire. The bass can get very heavy if you set them up for that, and the highs can get very high. These look nice, have good battery life, a decent app, and insane sound quality. Big bonus, they can be connected to two audio sources at one time, that paired with good ambient audio creates a great earphone for office use.
