Amazing sound and EQ, but….

The xm5 are so much better in the sound quality and the EQ options are amazing. The built in EQ finder worked beautifully. The problems I have are mainly with the touch controls. I can’t adjust the earbuds physcially in my ear without accidentally touching the pause or noise cancelling modes. And why do I have to press the touch control button 4 times to change the volume up and down? Why isn’t there a swipe command to change it? Also the transparency on the airpods are just miles ahead of any other earbud I’ve tried and the ANC seems about the same to the AirPods. If these go on sale it could be worth it but I still think the Airpods pro 2 which regularly drop to $199 are much more worth it if you care more about the transparency and touch controls over the better sound quality. I feel most people wont be able to notice the difference though.

For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).
You can also change the settings of the Ambient Sound Mode by connecting the smartphone (with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app installed) and the headset via a Bluetooth connection. Voice focus: Unwanted noise will be suppressed while announcements or people’s voices are picked up, allowing you to hear them as you listen to music. For more information, please refer to this link:

When tapping the touch sensor multiple times, tap it quickly with an interval of about 0.3 seconds between taps. Use your index finger when tapping the center of the touch sensor.

Usa for africa "We are the world" comparison is 5x better clarity _____ touch Controls are too sensitive/responsive. FAST/quick reaction times _____ i dislike finish, prefer a matte finish, gloss makes it look cheaper. Also more slippery due to smaller size profile with glossiness .i foresee many people misplacing pieces (be wary not to lose)

Poor Multipoint techonology.

It has multiple issues being connected to my laptop and my cell phone, does not easily transition between them and get's stuck on one device when it shouldn't.

Impressive sound

Unfortunately I returned them due to battery problems in one of the headphones. Now with this generation, I think Sony surpasses itself in audio quality, noise cancellation, comfort when wearing them and in the environmental mode in which WOW, it is impressive. 100% recommended.

XM4s to XM5s

I tried to go for the Google Pixel Buds Pro, but they didn't compare. The noise canceling, sound quality, and comfort are superior. In my opinion, there is not much difference in the upgrade as far as sound, but the comfort is a big plus.

Price is a little high but they’re good.

The noise canceling isn’t overly aggressive, which I like. I’ve had some in the past that create way too much pressure in my ears. They are comfortable to wear for long periods. Good sound, balanced. Getting the fit adjusted was a task, but they’re good now.

I got this pair since one side of my old xm4s stopped working, wouldn't say that it's worth upgrading if you have a working pair of xm4s but if you're actively looking for a new pair these are solid.

These are the absolute best sound quality you can get from wireless earbuds. The noise cancelation is also the best it has ever been. If you dont have the xm4 earbuds then get these. If you already have the xm4 earbuds and have no issues with them, these are not worth the upgrade.

Fairly good earbuds minus the price

I needed something that provided a true wireless fit. These are working great so far for what I needed. Unfortunately I do believe them to be a little pricey still.
