While we are glad to know about your satisfaction with the very comfortable fit design of your WH-1000XM5, we are really sorry if its sound quality didn't live up to your expectations. This is certainly not the experience we wanted you to have. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your headphones. If you haven't yet, please make sure that you have downloaded the Sony Headphones Connect app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your WH1000XM5 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ for bass and treble sound. You can also change the Sound quality mode of these headphones to "Priority on sound quality" to improve your overall listening experience.

Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. First and foremost, the noise-canceling feature, which was a significant selling point for me, is underwhelming. Despite the advanced technology touted by Sony, I can still hear background noises, especially in louder environments like airplanes or busy streets. This is a major letdown considering these are marketed as top-tier noise-canceling headphones. The build quality is another issue. While they look sleek, the headphones feel surprisingly flimsy. After just a few weeks of careful use, I’ve noticed the headband creaking and the ear cups not fitting as snugly as they did initially. This raises serious concerns about their durability. Comfort is also lacking. The ear pads, although soft, become uncomfortably warm after extended use, and the overall fit feels too tight, leading to discomfort during longer listening sessions. I’ve tried adjusting them multiple times, but nothing seems to alleviate the pressure on my ears. Battery life was advertised as excellent, but I’ve found it to be inconsistent. Some days, I barely get through a workday before needing to recharge, despite moderate usage. This inconsistency is frustrating and not what I expected from a premium product. Lastly, the sound quality is decent but not exceptional. For the high price tag, I anticipated a richer, more immersive audio experience. Instead, the sound feels flat, and the bass is often overpowering, drowning out the mids and highs. Overall, the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones have been a significant disappointment. Given their high price, I expected a product that excels in all areas, but these headphones fall short in noise-canceling, build quality, comfort, battery life, and sound quality. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and high-performing pair of wireless headphones.
