If you're going to buy this make sure you buy the protection plan, had it a week and the fan started screaming. Sent It took 4 full weeks for geek-squad to send it away and get the fix warrantied.

I did lots of research before choosing a laptop. I knew what I wanted. I read numerous reviews on lots of laptops and after realizing every computer has bad reviews this one had the least. So I bought this computer and received it last night. Literally at 7pm. I went through the set up and it was smooth so I was excited. I paid a lot of money for this computer so I had high hopes. I am now heading to Best Buy to return it at 9:30am the very next morning. The touch pad is horrible but I could live with it. My problem is it wouldn’t even load my emails without freezing and I have to restart. I could have no more than 2 tabs open at a time without it freezing. Even with one open it was slow! Totally blew my mind. I have a larger Dell Inspiron that I was replacing due to ghost touch issues that seemed to not be able to be fixed and some other issues. So I knew I did not want another dell (and yes I know ghost touch is not really a dell issue....or so I’ve been told) but it didn’t have near as many specs as this computer and even though I cannot use the 2n1 option it still runs smoother than this. The fan on the HP almost instantly came on and ran the entire time. It wasn’t very loud which was fine, but that is still abnormal. I may not be the most tech savvy person ever but this was a huge let down. I am a psych major and I run several tabs and windows at the same time. I can’t have it freezing in the middle of an exam and I know it will. It is a very pretty and cosmetically appealing laptop, so this was a big let down. I fought myself with just going with a Mac but it looks like that will be what I try next.

My daughter really likes this laptop, but it gets hot and the fan is a problem. Already had the fan fixed once and it looks like it needs another service.
