I purchased this square to use for small business transactions I dont make enough credit card transactions to make having a real credit card reader worth it, this square is an easy alternative and it seems to work pretty good. I wish it came with an extension for the 3.5 jack because most people have cases on their phones and being how close the 3.5 jack is to the actual card reader it makes it hard to use on my phone while the case is on it. But you get the 10$ you pay for the square back with your first purchase transaction.

So easy to set up and use! Works very well with any smartphone

We had no experience taking credit cards as payment. Our bank had many forms and needed approvals. Square saved us. Easy to buy at the Best Buy store, and took only minutes to set up. It worked great at our organization's Wine Tasting and Silent Auction. We think it gave people the option to spend more than if they could only play by cash or check.

A sceptic at first. Now, I'm not sure why I didn't get one a long time ago. I use this almost every day with my business. It was easy to set up and it is easy to use. A very reasonable rate and I love the fact that I can use this wherever I get phone service. Super cool little gadget that makes doing credit card transactions a breeze. Highly recommended!

Some of my customers didn't want to pay for services rendered by check or cash - as many people today, they wanted to pay by credit card. This item, the Square, made taking their credit card simple using my smart phone, and the cost was very reasonable. A Win, Win, situatioin for me and my customers.

Quick and easy setup. Works well with all cards except Bank of America. Fees are a little higher but no machine, supplies or contract.

Works great . Makes accepting debit cards at cookie booths so much easier .

Once I figured out how to create an account (i.e. adding your financial institution and verifying your identity) which was a little bit confusing at first, the reader worked like a charm. I bought it last minute for an event and it was pretty easy to maneuver and use as a POS system. I was able to see how much money we made and the overall fees taken out for each Square swipe immediately. It was a great buy and lifesaver!

with this credit card reader you can swipe credit cards with your phone or ipad works great for small businesses and people who want to accept credit cards on the go. square will even reimburse you for the purchase price. so if you have a square account stop by and buy one at best buy and square will add 10.00 to the account.

The Square Card Reader has been a very smart purchase, allowing me to almost immediately accept payment by credit card for my services. Additionally, Square provides a direct deposit to your account to cover the cost of the item. Set-up your account, plug the device into your phone, and off you go. Could not be simpler or better!

It works really well. It just sucks that the company takes a 3% cut from every transaction.

For anyone just starting out in selling, this item is a gift from heaven. It seemed complicated beforehand but the instructions are straightforward and clear. As long as you have a device connected to the internet (like a phone with mobile data) you can take payments anywhere!

Apple products make this work amazing, Android not so much. It helps my business greatly with it.

I purchased the Square for private social club use. It worked as advertised (swipe). What I didn't realize was that I could also use manually enter in the card information. Square provides a $10 rebate so the Square is essentially free. It sends an email receipt to the card holder which is nice for the donor/purchaser.

Used for a boy scout fundraiser since everyone always said "I don't have any cash on me". The interface of the app is amazingly simple and easy to set up, using the reader itself was a breeze. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to take credit cards.

I used this for a fundraiser where we had hundreds of guests making purchases by credit card. This card reader was a life saver! So easy to use and the app allows you to send receipts via text or email. Would absolutely recommend to any vendors or someone that needs to process credit cards easily.
