The Square Card Reader has been a very smart purchase, allowing me to almost immediately accept payment by credit card for my services. Additionally, Square provides a direct deposit to your account to cover the cost of the item. Set-up your account, plug the device into your phone, and off you go. Could not be simpler or better!

Once I figured out how to create an account (i.e. adding your financial institution and verifying your identity) which was a little bit confusing at first, the reader worked like a charm. I bought it last minute for an event and it was pretty easy to maneuver and use as a POS system. I was able to see how much money we made and the overall fees taken out for each Square swipe immediately. It was a great buy and lifesaver!

Used for a boy scout fundraiser since everyone always said "I don't have any cash on me". The interface of the app is amazingly simple and easy to set up, using the reader itself was a breeze. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to take credit cards.

I purchased the Square for private social club use. It worked as advertised (swipe). What I didn't realize was that I could also use manually enter in the card information. Square provides a $10 rebate so the Square is essentially free. It sends an email receipt to the card holder which is nice for the donor/purchaser.

I used this for a fundraiser where we had hundreds of guests making purchases by credit card. This card reader was a life saver! So easy to use and the app allows you to send receipts via text or email. Would absolutely recommend to any vendors or someone that needs to process credit cards easily.

For anyone just starting out in selling, this item is a gift from heaven. It seemed complicated beforehand but the instructions are straightforward and clear. As long as you have a device connected to the internet (like a phone with mobile data) you can take payments anywhere!

This works very well and is very reliable. Reads most cards, small and easy to use on the cell phone. Recommend it!

Works great with the Square app. I set mine up with my bank account to allow people to buy popcorn for a Cub Scout troop. Like the credit card companies square takes a cut of the proceeds (2.75% per swipe). Works really well and it’s easy to use. Square also sends you a daily report on transactions.

Mainly got on of these to sell my old trading card collection to random strangers. People are a lot more apt to buy from ya if you have multiple methods of payment. Plus the reader comes with a $10 redeem code so it just pays for itself or is just straight up free money if you bought it on sale.

I love this product. It was so easy to set up. You just download the app, set up your bank account number and attach to your phone. It could not have been easier and my funds were in my account immediately.

Great deal. Husband forgot his square at home when doing a rock show in the area. So thankful that Bestbuy carried this product. Would have cost us almost $1500.00 that day to go without it. Only store in the area that carries what we needed.

Makes it convenient and easy to collect plastic payments. We use a dedicated tablet to reduce chances of problems with bank info. We have used three for four years with the only problem being if you drop it and break it or lose it.

I have an Etsy shop and this works for those who would like to pay with credit/debit cards at craft fairs. I actually tested with my own credit card and it worked great. My only complaint would be I can't sync it with my shop. Etsy has a free card reader, but they are hard to get because of high demand.
