I thought i would be able to use it to make purchases online

I purchased an iPad and square reader to replace my old wireless terminal for my mobile business. I wanted to use the iPad as it would be a multipurpose device and is state of the art. I loved everything it worked great for my mobile business, I loved that there was no monthly fee as I was not accepting too many credit card charges. If you pay $50 a month to take credit cards this has no monthly cost so it's great and easy to use, plus has more features. Only draw back is we had to take the case off to use the card reader, this was fine until we dropped and broke the screen. We had the Best Buy warranty protection so this was not a problem. However, to solve this no one would help. Very poor customer service / lack their of. To solve this we found a special cable called "CellPay audio extension cable otterbox compatible". If you have a case and the 3.5 male reader doesn't fit in the audio jack then this is the solution.

This is the best credit card reader I've ever used. It is easy to set up. Work well with my iPad and iPhone 4.

This is a neat piece of equipment that fulfills a credit card reader on a phone for a very cheap price. It fits into the headphone jack and reads credit cards on a phone - super handy. It does magnetic strips, but not chips.

This card reader is super easy to use. Just download the app off of android or App Store and fill out the requirements for Square Inc. Then plug and get swipping! Square Inc will refund the money you pay for the Square and then even send you a second free card reader for free!

If you're the owner of small business or even a medium size and you don't want to be paying monthly fees to your bank I will recommend you this one, easy setup and you only need to contact your bank to asking the number to associated your e-reader with your account after they will be sending you a email confirmation (24h later) that your accounts it's already associated and you can take payment with the reader. (Less expensive than be paying to the bank for their own readers)

I use the square reader all the time for making eating and drinking out easier among friends. Everyone has plastic these days and it is much easier to get paid back or allocate funds to one check. My friends pay me what they owe, I give the restaurant or bar my card. Done. It is also helpful if you are selling something on craigslist or on the spot. The fees are often negated by things like cashback in a restaurant scenario.

This was a "stocking stuffer" gift for our Daughter for Christmas. She loves it and uses it regularly to receive customer payments by credit card when she's out of the office.

Came fast in the mail. Easy to use with the Square app. Worked great for my first time vending at an artist market:) Love being able to accept cards!

I love being able to take credit cards on the go! The money has always deposited correctly.

Bought it for my 15 year old granddaughter who is making and selling home made dog treats. A little difficulty in setting it up, but it worked great once we did get it set up.

Husband forgot our square at home and we needed one to use at a rock show where we were selling. Came to Best buy picked up the square and had it functioning 5 minutes after I got back to the show. Make us close to $1000.00 in sales that day - worked perfect.

All you have to do is plug it in once you have the Square app open. Charged debit and credit cards during a convention without issue.
