I've been constantly asked if I take credit cards for my photography services and was hesitant since I did not have a smart phone. So friends said I only need an iPad Tablet and could use the Square card reader with it. So I checked it out and "bit the bullet". It was easier than I thought to install the software and set up an account. I even got back my ten dollars from Square. Now I am waiting for the next phone call or text and can say Yes I Do.

This is an easy way to accept credit cards. The fees are a bit high but I simply pass them along to the few customers that want to use a credit card. You can also easily switch it from one bank accoiunt to another.

Setup was pretty easy + we tested it and it seems to work OK-quite pleased so far. We use android type phones.

It's great this card reader is free because the transaction charges are little high but it's so easy to use I allow for the charges due to the conscience factor. People carry their debit/credit cards without any cash so often that this helps keep the money coming in and not having to wait for checks to clear the bank. I recommend using it to supplement any very small business when there's less than 100 card transactions a month. Anything more than that you would benefit from a contract.

It's a must have for a business that is not a brick n mortar. Or even if it is a brick n mortar. It's a great cheap way to take payments. Super easy app to use. And secure encryption when processing the card. There is a % charge for transaction. Also cool is that they will credit back the cost of the reader. Double check to make sure it's still the same.

We were selling Girl Scout cookies at the mall and people kept asking if we took credit cards. Finally I went to the Best Buy Mobile down the hall and bought a Square. It didnt connect wirh my Otterbox case so I had to buy a thinner case. But once I did that set-up took about 5 min and we were accepting credit cards for cookies. The money was deposited the next day imto the troop account. It really made cookie seasom a lot easier!

The Square reader ($10 at a store but Square reimburses you when you set up an account) is a very good solution for processing transactions via Square, especially for a small business and they have best in market rates.
