You need a compatible device and the square app, as well as a square account. After I created an account it seems you can request a card reader for free via mail, so I’m not sure if you need to pick one of these up in a store unless you want it immediately.

Talk about flawless integration with the bank...makes taking credit cards so much easier. Highly recommend to anyone who does any sort of booth sales, whether for a fund raiser or side job.

Set up was relatively easy except for the fact it is mainly for larger businesses with more complex use than a once or twice a year transaction just glad we don't pay a monthly fee to have and use. Will update after first use.

Every once in a while, we lose one or need another. Unlike other stores, Best Buy seems to always have these in stock, which is helpful when you're in a hurry. We've used these for years and they hold up well.
