after a month of use volume is lower had to reset multiple times. when it has full volume works great .otherwis meh

Only thing lacking is slightly better volume. Other than that works great.i play on xbox/pc app is straight forward easy operation from your phone.

The Arctis Nova 5 is one of the best values in gaming headsets right now, though it does have its quirks. Sure, other manufacturers might say they have the best sound quality and most advanced features, but most headsets have near identical hardware. For the most part, perceived differences in audio quality come from different default equalizer curves, not superior drivers or digital signal processing. Let's face it, these types of headphones will be playing explosive sounds and engines revving. You wouldn't use them to examine the intricacies of a baroque quartet. The big advantage to the Nova 5 is near complete cross-platform compatibility. Though the box says specifically designed for Xbox, the headset will work with PlayStation, Switch, computers, and even Android phones. Bluetooth is also available, though audio can't simultaneously play over Bluetooth and wireless USB. The headset also doesn't operate in any wired fashion as it doesn't have a 3.5mm aux port and it doesn't function as a wired USB headset. You can charge it while using it, though. Fit and comfort are subjective things. I found it very light and comfortable, even for extended play sessions. Fully extended it was just big enough for my larger noggin. I especially like the suspension headband. It's similar to that on the Plantronics RIG headsets and I find it doesn't press into my head as noticeably as other fixed headbands. The headset can also be adjusted to fit much smaller heads, even children. The mic retracts into the earcup rather than flipping up. It's not as quick to put away, but it does keep the external dimensions slimmer. It's also better than a detachable mic that can get lost. Overall, the headset is fairly sleek and fits close to your head, which is nice if you want to lean back on the couch and not rest your head on the earcups. Battery life is also quite long, though I can't say if I ever got the 60 hours SteelSeries advertises. I do find the volume knobs to be a bit quirky. The headset has two, one for overall volume and one for game audio / party chat mix. The volume knob on the left doesn't control the volume of the attached device like your phone or computer. Instead, you just leave the system volume at 100% and the volume only changes for the headset's internal amplifier. Neither dial has clicks or detents ( other than one on the game/chat dial at halfway ), so it's not as easy to reset to a given volume level. But these are small complaints for a headset that runs around $120. Many competing headsets that boast this much platform compatibility typically cost $150 - $200 without adding any killer features or superior build quality. The only other thing I can complain about is the extra-long USB A-to-C adapter cable in the box. A short 6-12" adapter would have been just fine to use the dongle on computers and consoles that lack the connector. Instead, SteelSeries included a 5ft cable that needs to be wrapped and coiled and then tucked out of the way. But as said, that's getting pretty nit-picky.

This headset was overall extremely comfortable and had solid sound quality. But there was little to no base audio or directional audio. The high pitched noises in games stood out way more resulting in multiple headaches.

Good headset over all but sometimes it has connection issues

Good headset. Comfy. Sound quality 10/10. But mic randomly wont work on parties. Need to turn it off and on until it works. Annoying. Ugh

Honestly the steelseries nova 5x is not that great, Sound quality sucks for xbox series x and the so called clear cast mic is not that good in fact it sounds very tinny like talking through a tin can, The software is very glitchy , For instance I had issues where I went to turn on the headset and the mic wasn’t working, turn off and back on for it to start working again. Also this headset at least to my ears has alot of static noise. To sum it up, I ended up returning the steelseries nova 5x because for $130 they have to many issues. Not worth it. I went with Turtle Beach Stealth 600 for $99.99 and let me tell you, It’s a fantastic headset with full immersive sound and a fantastic mic to boot ! Not to mention I have been using the turtle beach stealth 600 for 3 days now & with the 80 hour battery life I only went from 100% charge to 90% in 3 days. Pretty awesome. Imo steelseries is way overpriced and overrated. So my suggestion is if you are looking for a new headset that won’t break the bank, Get the turtle beach stealth 600 for xbox series x/s , You won’t be disappointed. Hope this helps.

They constantly have to be unplugged and plugged back into the Xbox (with the Bluetooth adapter thing). Had good luck with other versions of these headphones but these such because of that issue. 2 stars because the sound is good, but it's annoying

These are amazing! Working from home just got a lot better. With the AI noise cancelling, No one can hear my children in the background. Best purschase ever.

Overall great upgrade from my Arctis 3. Never had issues with steel series

SUPER LIGHT BUT HAD SOME SOUND ISSUES AND THE MIC IF ITS NOT RIGHT CLOSE TO YOUR MOUTH PEOPLE CANT HEAR WHAT YOU ARE SAYING NOT A FAN RETURNED THEM IN LESS THAN A WEEK AND AFTER ONLY 1 USE

Much smaller than other models sound quality is fine feels cheaply made tho
