Bought this as a gift to my nephew on his 13th birthday. Played it on his switch and this is mind blowing. Also, ordered it online for pickup and bestbuy made the experience seamless. I was in and out of the store in minutes. Definitely recommend.

Finally caved and bought the game to play with friends

I purchased this for my 8-year old niece as a Christmas present. It was under the tree and she had a good idea what it was based on its shape. It was the present she choose to open first and she "had" to play it before she opened any of her other presents. She's been at it off and on all day. It's amazing how she's improved in only a few hours of play. It made my Christmas seeing how much she enjoyed it!

Lots of fun but if you’re playing with joycons you’re gonna need another set as a back up or buy the pro controller

Extremely fun to play. It's almost a must have if you get a switch or switch lite. Controls are a little confusing to begin with, but once you get them down, you're good to go. You can play locally by yourself or with other people using the Joycons (and buying more Joycons separately if you want to play with more than 2 people), or you can play online if you get Nintendo Switch Online (for like $20 a year). Altogether, you should get this game!

This game is super fun whether you're casual player or a competitive player. I love that this game has every single character from the previous games. I hate attempting to unlock all the characters whether you do the shortcut (it's on youtube) or just plain old fashion playing through the game. The world of light adventure mode is quite tedious in grinding through the fights to progress the story and unlock characters. Overall I think this is a must have game for all.

This game is worth every penny. The new characters are a ton of fun and some old characters who were lagging behind in recent games got great buffs. The presentation is better than ever, with the characters looking and sounding very expressive. Spirits are a nice distraction every now and then, but nothing too exciting. The game's campaign, World of Light, isn't all that good though. You gain fighters at an excruciatingly slow rate, forcing you to use the same character for like 15 battles before getting a new one. There's no story to speak of, and while the spirit battles CAN be very creative with interesting effects, most of the time they're just bog-standard with a buff here and debuff there. The difficulty is also oddly uneven, as there are battles that are straight-up unaffected by the difficulty setting, either being hilariously easy or Ninja Gaiden-level hard. Overall, 100% worth the purchase if you're looking for a fun fighting game with great characters and presentation. Just don't expect much from the campaign.

Bought this as a gift for my younger brother. He is obsessed with this game. Great family game, good for all ages.
