I don’t see the appeal of this game. Maybe just not for me

don’t see anyfun in this game, found it to be boring

For longtime Smash fans, this is the end all be all of the smash titles! It has every character from the previous titles plus a few new ones. There are several new modes including an offline story mode that could very well be its own game. All of the old Amiibo's still work if you have them! Gameplay is flawless, some old characters have new/replaced moves, and it's easily one of the best fighting games Nintendo has come up with! I can't see how they could make another one after this, this seems like the final chapter for super smash bros. But I wouldn't be surprised if they made another one after this.

I have always liked the Super Smash franchise since Smash Brawl for the Wii. Smash Ultimate is my favorite because it's fun, it has powerful graphics on the 720p console and my 1080p TV, it's challenging, and has an epic story mode adventure. My only complaint is that I can't re-challenge the spirits after clearing it, but I still enjoy playing this game for Classic mode, regular fights, and fighting the final boss in the adventure. I also think it's amazing that everyone is there from every smash game. It's Super Smash like never before!

Super Smash Bros. has always been one of the iconic games series that the Nintendo license has flourished off of and given quite a-lot of dedication to over the years, and this game is no exception. The game's interface is easy to grasp yet thrilling to master; this entry definitely allows for the classic game-play to still maintain a strong sense of entertainment even with all the other competitive games on the market currently. With all the classic characters and stages, along with new modes; it is without a doubt, one of the best entries in the series.

Definitely recommend this game it is amazing, of course it has been around for a while so it is really fun to play

This game is a fantastic love letter to not only Nintendo properties, but also many other franchises in gaming. If you had told me as a kid I would be able to fight Snake as Cloud, with Mario and Megaman also in the fray, I would have never thought it to be a possibility. Great gameplay and beginner friendly controls make this a great party game.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is pure unadulterated action, fighting and most importantly, FUN. Play as classic and new Nintendo characters such as Mario, Link, and even Pikachu! PIKA PIKA! Look forward to unlocking almost every character from the Nintendo multiverse! Smash em bro!

Adds just enough to avoid being called a port of the WiiU version but not enough to be an entirely new game. Physics were tweaked and gameplay is faster, more like Melee. The new characters are fun additions and the DLC will surely be great and full of surprises. Must buy for any Switch owner.

If you could only play one video game for the rest of your life then this is possibly the only choice. If you have ever played Melee or Brawl this is 1000 times more intense then those. The largest roster of characters ever, fun stages, very personalized game, you get to do whatever you want.

If you liked any version of SSB, you will love this one! It is fantastically fun and has every character from all the prior versions. Must own for any Switch owner

My son loves this game the most. He plays all the time. Graphics are great and it just makes life A lot easier on these longer car rides. Definitely recommend this game. We bought the digital since it wasn’t in the store. Downloaded fast and he was able to play in no time.

This game is fantastic, both in quantity and quality. Players of all forms can find something enjoyable about this game. It is worth noting however that a sizeable chunk of the game's characters are behind a paywall that approaches a combined total of around $100 if the game is full priced. Another downside to the game is that the online gameplay is especially hindered by poor design and can be incredibly frustrating. As long as you take that into consideration (or play offline primarily), then this is one of the best fighting games you can find --not only on the Switch, but anywhere.

To get the negatives out of this way, the game makes unlocking characters little too simple. In some previous games there was a goal, a mission, a task hidden or not to complete and a sense of accomplishment to unlock a character. Now it's just 'oh I played for 15 minutes'. One of the best feelings from 64 and melee was that wonderful feeling of being surprised by a character. They didn't have to do this with the entire roster, but why not some? Spirit mode is a unique idea, and a fun rpg element, but something about it feels lacking, and the removal of trophies is another thing that diminishes the game and makes it feel less like a smash game. There are also a few strange decisions, such as leaving out Geno, a character requested as much as ridley and k rool since the 1st game, missing Poke floats, and the very awkward choice of forcing rule and stage choice before characters that leads to resetting games feeling super odd. And that ends the disappointing aspects of the game. Everything else is there. A giant roster. Fun mechanics. Simply yet complex gameplay. Hours of endless entertainment. A multitude of stages, tons of items, a story mode, classic mode, characters from so many genres it boggles the mind. Even the above complaints can only be attributed to 'you gave us so much, why not more!' and who's to say they can't be changed! The good far outweighs the bad. This game is appropriately named, and is a great addition to the smash lineup.

I love the upgrades given to this version of the game. It is so much fun to play. It is just like the original but with more characters and scenery. Highly recommend

Bought the digital copy, no issues at all. Delivery was quick and easy. Runs great on the Switch 2!

Great game overall, only real issue was in the beginning when i was forced to play through the story to unlock all the characters instead of giving me an option of just using them all in VS mode without needing to grind for them. Aside from that setback, there's tons of content, and a bunch to unlock. The biggest Smash in history, and the DLC adds even more to it. Obviously i wish characters i wanted were in here, but it's full of so many already, you will probably find one or more you want to play as.

With the 3.0 update adding Stage Builder; all older versions of this game are officially outdated; amazing mechanics, an endless abundance of options and modes, amazing stages, amazing characters, refined balance, and the best possible online experience for a game that shouldn't even be possible to play online ( XD ). Everyone who loves video games should love these characters, and this game. Anyone who owns a Nintendo should own one of these games, but preferably: you own a Switch, with a copy of Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Smash has always been a fun party game & the developers have finally addressed multiple aspects of the competitive scene that have been asked for quite some time. Parrying has a generous window & effective, air dodging is enhanced etc...add in the most ever stages, characters, music plus an interesting story mode & you have the best Smash bros game in history.
