My daughter loves it and enjoys playing it with her friends

Cannot believe they brought every character from the past and brought in so many more characters!!!! They upgraded everything and the 'Light' quest was amazing! I dont know where they will go from here but im ready for it!

This game is a blast, solo and multiplayer. The controllers being so small takes some getting used to but its an easy adjustment. I've also played with the retro attachment that lets you use game cube controllers which I really love because that way I don't have to buy additional controller and its a familiar way of playing. But aside from that, I haven't unlocked all the players yet but I'm surprised by how many characters there are so far and its nice to have all the playing fields unlocked from the start.

If you're a Nintendo fan or buying for one, this is the quintessential game for the Nintendo switch. This game is top tier fun, the current reason to own the Switch. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the best fighting game on the system, maybe the best of all time. It features characters from numerous Nintendo franchises, including some third party franchises. In a family friendly fighting game that will last for ages. It will even have downloadable content support through late 2019. Absolutely a must for the holiday.

An inconsistent online mode and situational downers don't stop Super Smash Bros. Ultimate from shining as a flexible multiplayer game that can be as freewheeling or as firm as you want it to be. Its entertaining single-player content helps keep the game rich with interesting things to do, as well as bolstering its spirit of loving homage to the games that have graced Nintendo consoles. Ultimate's diverse content is compelling, its strong mechanics are refined, and the encompassing collection is simply superb.

We bought this for our grandson and he loves it! He played it most of the day!

If you enjoy casual fighting games, this has to be one of the very best ever. The game celebrates video game history with its HUGE roster of playable characters from different games. There are too many to list here but rest assured that you will be able to find a character to have fun with in this game. They also included a sizeable single player mode to go with the absurdly fun multiplayer mode that you can enjoy both online and on the couch with friends. This is a must have in any Switch owner's library.

This game has so many features, characters and Easter eggs packed in that I've been barely scratched the surface after 30 hours. Huge roster of characters for the price that took over 20 hours to unlock them all. The story mode can take least 20 hours to complete and it's a fun mode with a neat story line and objectives. Online is passable but I hope it improves. It works great in portable or docked. Frame rate is solid and graphics are great on both modes. This is a must buy for Switch owners!

The concept is really fun, where you can duel using most characters in the Nintendo universe, each having their own unique abilities and powers. It was difficult for me to master the controls, though, especially using the standard joy-cons in handheld mode. I ordered a Switch Pro controller hoping this will improve my chances—I think the joy-con sticks may be just a bit too sensitive for this game. Also, I’m now at a point in the game where I feel a bit stuck—there is no way for me to progress without winning the next-higher difficulty battle, which I have failed after many tries, and no way for me to go back and improve my skills with lower difficulty battles. Perhaps platform fighting games are just not my thing. If you’re like me, it may take you some time and effort to advance in this game.

I've played Smash since the original came out on the N64. I've always loved it and ultimate is no exception. The only thing I don't like is how many characters there are now. Variety is great and all, but at a certain point I think it gets to be too much. I'd still recommend it to anyone who loves fightng games and wants a way to entertain people at a party or game night

I preordered this game the minute it was announced knowing that I was going to enjoy it. Once the characters started to be revealed, it may me more excited. Nintendo has once again made a series with a bunch of different characters fun again. All my friends enjoyed it. If you liked any of the past smash games, then this is for you. If you never played this game before, all the different characters may be enough for you to spend the $60 for it. Either way I can't wait to unlock all the characters.

If you have a switch. This is definitely a must have. I purchased it with all the dlc and even thought it was pricey, its well worth it. I recommend playing with the pro controller though. Cant wait for the next one or to at least play this soon on a switch 2

Great game, tons of content right from the start (wihtout the DLC). Love the 8 player battles, a lot of fun when you have friends over (keeping social distancing of course 0.0). I would recommend for all ages, just a great pick up and play, This was a major improvement from Melee which was the last one i played (I know, on the GC) Get it if you can, get it with discount or without, and best of all, get the physical before its gone.

There's so much to do and unlock in this. This is by far the best super smash bros game. There's over 70 characters in it.

This is the ULTIMATE party and fighting game! Super Smash Bros. Ultimate features over 70 colorful video game characters, from Mario, Kirby, and Pikachu to third party characters such as Sonic, Mega Man, and Pac Man! Whether you’re a fan of fighting games, or just love to have parties, this is a must have for your switch. Even if it is a multiplayer game, there is still plenty of single player content, including the spirits mode. Everyone is truly here, and this is the Ultimate game.

"Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" is a game worth its namesake–it truly is ultimate! For those new to the series, this is a 2D action/fighting game with over 70 characters spanning across several companies' franchises: Nintendo, Sega, Square/Enix, Capcom, Konami, Wayforward, and a ton of different stages to boot. Seriously, the developers spared no expense on this one. In addition to the standard Classic, Smash, and Mob Smash modes, we also get a story mode called Spirits. Spirits mode is basically a way to stretch the basic game further by adding special ability cards to the mix; you unlock them by fighting single-player matches across an overworld that looks not unlike that of Super Mario World or A Link To The Past. The only flaw to Smash Bros. Ultimate may be that there are TOO MANY characters. It takes a considerable amount of time to unlock them all, which is fine, but there are just a few too many different iterations of characters (there are 2 versions of Pit, Samus, and Mario...and 3 versions of Link!). Overall, it's a labor of love for video games in general–and not just those made by Nintendo. There's surprising cameos and remixed classic tunes waiting around every corner. Definitely another must-have for the Switch! NOTE: I recommend the Gamecube or Switch Pro controller for this one...it's kind of hard to press specific directions on command with the standard Joycon sticks.

Wether you're looking for some fun local multiplayer or enjoy the competitive aspect of the game, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate will not disappoint. One of the biggest(if not the biggest) rosters ever in a fighting game. You can show your skills with characters from Pokemon, Final Fantasy, The Persona Series, Mario, Fire Emblem, and many more. A must have for any switch owner. If you dont own a switch, do your self the favor and buy one along with Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

If you've played any other smash game and love it. You'll love this one. Many characters, and levels. Takes a while to unlock them all though. I've played every smash bros game and this one keeps the pattern going of the smash bros greatness. I am not a fighting game person, but smash bros has always been so much fun. Especially with friends. If you haven't played smash bros before, then I recommend renting it to see if it's your style of game. The fighting mechanics are simple to learn, and can take some time to master. It is more about timing rather than combo attacks like other fighting games. I bought the gamecube style controller because I hate how small the switch controllers are, and am not disappointed. The nostalgia is real. My reason for taking one star away is the online. It is ok, fun at times to play competitively online but connection issues do happen, and causes lag sometimes. Overall still fun!
