I still have my OG Jungle Green n64 with the OG smash bros, had to upgrade and get the new Ultimate version! Brings back fond memories, and creating new ones with my son. Where my Samus Mains at!?

There is so much content in this game. First off, there is 74 playable characters! The only complaint I've heard is that you have to unlock most of them, but the game is pretty generous with giving you unlock opportunities in between matches or play modes. I unlocked almost all of the fighters by playing through the World of Light story mode, which is gigantic. There are tons of unlockable spirits that you can use to augment your character, granting different buffs or items. Songs/music are also unlockable throughout all the modes. Classic mode is an Arcade style fighting game ladder that you battle through to accumulate points. Even the game credits are set up as a scrolling shooter where you shoot names and get points. Regular Smash mode is as fun as ever and there's tons of ways to customize matches. There's really a lot to unpack here and a great value. Definitely a must have game.

it is Smash bros, if you are a gamer that has a Friend of any kind, or plays online. you just have to own this. Nintendo did cheep out though because they don't have dedicated servers for this game, you will play online matches that have lag.

This is great when you have a lot of people over because it supports up to 8 players at once (although it's a bit hard to see what's going on and you need the controllers to supports that many). Overall a great addition to the Smash franchise.

My kids love this game. We had it for the Wii U. Once we got this for the switch we had a hard time pulling them away. Great game. Lots of playtime. My wife and I enjoy this as well!

I purchased this game for my son as a Christmas gift. I’ve heard tons of hype about the game; however, as we have yet to play the game I can’t confirm or deny. In light of the previous version, I imagine this game will be fire. I would recommend this game.

It’s Smash Brothers! What more of a review do you need? You fight video game characters against other ones, only with a huge roster and amazing music. Only down side is playing with the joy one and some drift. A pro controller would be my advice

The kids love it! I have played it once and I was beaten so bad by my 10 year old that I haven't played it since. Ha!

Very fun game, and notwithstanding the violence, still age appropriate for my 6 year old.

My grandchildren, ages 8 and 11, received this game for Christmas. They have spent a lot of time playing and are loving it. It is challenging but they are able to play with some skill and some trial and error. They are really having a good time with it.

Super fun game but the controller setup on two players is kind of a pain. I wish i would hsve bought the retro blu tooth gamecube controller that was really designed for this game because the setup when splitting up the original switch controller for 2 players is not intuitive for a child or adult. We are new to the Switch but not new to nintendo. I just wish it was more plug 'n play. Hint: you have to press Disconnect and then reconnect the controllers separately when choosing 2 players. That part was kinda frustrating the first time. Same great play as previous Smash titles with even better graphics!!

I bought this game right before christmas to bring it for dinner and it was the best decision I made. We were adults trying to figure out the game and it was just too funny and competitive between all of us. Max 8 players can play the game at one time.

among some other titles, smash ultimate is one of, if not, THE reason to get a nintendo switch. this is one of the most fun, casual, competitive, local multiplayer games out there and certainly a MUST have. stop reading this review and buy it now!

Lots of fun with this game. Great graphics and players

If you're wondering if you should buy it, just do it. If you're not that much into fighting games you'll still have a fun time, from casual to hardcore gamers. The roster is huge and full of known and beloved characters from different franchises.

I’ve been a long time fan of the super smash brothers franchise. It’s nice to purchase this game to play with old time friends. Nostalgia at it’s finest with a fresh twist. Great to play with all controllers.

Great game. If you liked any of the other games in the series, then you will of course like this one. If this is the first game in the series you are playing, you will like it. Very entertaining and enjoyable.
