All my daughter wanted for Christmas was this game (and a Nintendo Switch to play it on.) After she got it she played for like 2 days straight but still needs to unlock some of the characters. She LOVES it!

There’s a lot of content in this game. It will keep you entertained for a fair amount of time and you can choose your own difficulty level. Come next year there will be a bunch of DLC to keep gameplay going

A lot of fun to play with friends and beat them (or not) with cute characters. Good fighting mechanic. This game guarantees that you're going to have a good time with anyone.

It still has the characteristics of older games, with the Smash and Classic mode, which are awesome with friends, and the World of Light is fun to play (solo only). On the con side, the World of Light would be more fun imo if we could play with other people, and it was confusing to have to figure out what spirits were and what the World of Light was. Honestly, it would be hard for a first-time player to figure out how to play because there are very few instructions in-game or on the website, so I feel like people would have to look up YouTube instructions or something to figure it out on their own. Overall, though, it’s fun for a quick fight or hours of exploring in the World of Light.

My husband is very happy with this orchard. As all Smash Bros, this runs smoothly with an array of fun characters. He was very harpy with this birthday present :) It came in perfect condition. He is a huge fan of having the physical media, so we got the actual "disk."

My kids love the game great for family nights definitely recommend this game

Bought this to play with my boys, 5 and 7. They love it and we have a great time playing it together. This game coupled with some GameCube controllers is so much fun!

Its Smash, get 8 people in a room and smash. Teach everyone to Smash since you'll have 2 controllers by default. Since its on the switch there's no telling where you'll end up smashing!

I used to not like the series on the older systems but I love the amount of characters you get from start. Oh yeah it takes a bit to control if you are a newcomer to the game but loads of fun.

My kids and their cousins love to hang out and battle...after battle...after battle. They are so good at it and have a ball maximizing the abilities of all the many characters.

Super Smash Bros is a series I have always enjoyed. The frantic Nintendo fighting series has been played by me and my friends for years. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is an excellent game. Smash Bros Ultimate has every character from the past games as well as many of the stages. Multiplayer(offline and online) is a blast with tons of customization options. Single player story mode is fantastic with excellent challenges and collectibles that will engage you for hours. Staples to the series like Classic mode return as well giving players a variety of content. This game is highly recommended by me for anyone looking for a great single player/multiplayer game and should not be missed by any Nintendo Switch owner.

Purchased this game a couple weeks ago and my family and I have a lot of Fun with this one. Even have the ability to play online to further the fun. A must have for your switch collection.

I'm not a particular fan of these types of tournament style games but I still enjoyed smash brothers. It has perfected the formula. I'm having the most fun unlocking all the characters (there are a lot).

Bought this for my son. He absolutely loves it. Cant put it down. A fun game for the full family as well. Something we all can sit down and play together as a family

My son is 9 and he loves this game. He is not allowed to play other fighting games. I feel this one is a good compromise if you are a parent that wants to keep you kids away from the more violent games.

The good: this game fantastic graphics, fun and technical 2d fighter gameplay, great dynamic stages, and a very lengthy single player “adventure” mode that comprises of themed fights. Tons of collectable “spirits” and achievements to unlock. Even a stage builder! DLC fighters are still shaking things up. The not good: Internet play is laggy, and adventure mode isn’t super engaging once you play it a bunch. Spirits are fun to collect, but not as fun as trophies were. Overall: Definitely worth full price because of the immense amount of content you can play through, and because there are so many great unique characters.

I got this thinking it was just going to be like Melee or Brawl (I didn't play Smash 4 for Wii U or 3DS). There's a lot to do in this, including timed exclusive stuff on the Spirit Board. The story mode is pretty long (for me at least), and a lot of spirits and characters to unlock. I mainly bought this to play with the kids, but I got hooked to it and kept playing long after the kids went to sleep. It's very smooth and natural feeling, like Melee. I wasn't nearly as into Brawl after having played Melee so much. I might end up playing this more than I did Melee. I very highly recommend this, even for those who aren't fans of fighting games. It's just fun! (may update this once I play a whole lot more)

My son received a Nintendo switch for Christmas and this was the game he asked for. He is 7 and was age appropriate. He enjoys the game. It's just the right amount of challenge for him.

This game is so. Much. Fun. Is amazing how entertaining it is to go through and unlock the characters and there's always something different to do. Try the the story mode for a while, then jump back to the main menu where a new fighter will challenge you to a battle to unlock them. Try classic mode with it's series of 1v1 fights and sidescrolling bonus level before the boss (and definitely take one of the Belmonts to said fight) then shoot your way through the credits to another challenger. Lose one of those fights? Play a couple online matches with your new characters and then the one you missed will be ready for a rematch when you return to the menu! And throughout all of this the fighting feels great.
