Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is possibly the best fighting game for the current generation of consoles. It's fun to play with friends (up to 4 players!) on your TV, it's fun to play by yourself (a long single-player campaign is included, which earns unlocked characters and power-ups that can be used when playing multiplayer as well), and it's fun to play with the family (button-mashing is effective, if you have younger players in the group, and there's no blood/gore). Highly recommended!

This is one of those titles that has completely changed Nintendo since coming out on N64. Ultimate is no exception...for the enormous character selection alone is worth the purchase. The gameplay is much faster than what you may be used to but I also did play it on the Wii U, so I can't speak to that. I have played hours upon hours and have yet to scratch the surface of all that you can do. There is an insane amount of playability with the different modes they have added. You will not be disappointed with this purchase, definitely worth the money. I would even argue that a Switch is worth purchasing for this game alone...

I havent played a smash game in some years so I was very pleasantly surprised with this. I could drone on about the game play but if you like smash this one plays better than any other I have played. The big thing that I appreciate most about this game is the sheer volume of content, tons of stages characters and 100s of hours worth music, this is defitnetly a labor of love. Online can be a bit dicey if someone has a weak internet connection but fairly solid overall and playing smash with friends and family sitting with you is the best way to play. If youve ever played smash give this a try, your virtually guaranteed to like it.

You got responsibilities? You got a loving family? Well then this game is not for you. Countless hours of neglet and shameful rage quits await. Best party game ever. Fun alone or with any freinds you dont mind yelling obscenities at. Super smash bros is a classic and will never get old.....you will but not this game.

I like this game a lot. It will take you about 10 hours or so yo unlock the full roster outside of the adventure mode (longer in adventure mode). There are many different types of challenges to do and spirits to collect. I thought the spirits would be dumb but they're actually pretty fun. The combat is clean and rewarding. If you're a smash fan, ninte do fan or fighting game fan this game is a must have.

I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it. We both have fun playing it. The only thing is that you have to unlock the additional characters from random battles.

Good game. Although I was hoping for it to take longer to unlock all characters but fun anyways. One downside I found was choosing which character to choose from all of them.

Already owned 1 copy of this game, bought 2nd for my son. Great family game, best in series so far. He has already played for many hours.

Just as good as the N64 and GameCube editions. The stages even keep a lot of that great nostalgia. I couldn’t be happier for an updated version of such a legendary franchise.

There is just something about playing this with the family and having fun with all your favorite characters

Wanted to see the hype, hard for me to learn the control for these fighting games vs just smashing buttons. But still fun with friends

Such an amazing game. The character selection is so big and each character brings its own unique play style to accommodate different kinds of players. I could easy say that it is in my top 5 games

It's a great game that let's you use the pro controller and the game cube controllers if you want to relieve that childhood experience once again. The story mode which is the light mode isn't all that cracked up to be. I got all the characters within 2 days of playing without using that mode. After you get all the characters you can try and go for achievements but as far as I know I finished the game.

If like me you are a long time fan of the series you will absolutely love this version. They took the best of every past game and rolled it all into one. Just be aware in the "classic mode" and world of light there can be a steep learning curve. Also be aware you have to unlock over sixty characters yourself, only the "originals" that were in the first smash game are unlocked from the start. It may seem daunting to do and newcomers may get intimidated and overwhelmed by the nuances of it all, but I highly recommend this game. It's a blast to play, just be prepared for occasional difficulty spikes and some frustration.

I've been playing Super Smash Bros since it first came out of the N64. I've always enjoyed each sequel that has come out and this one is no different. It has a lot of content to play through solo mode but it's main draw is of course the multiplayer and it doesn't disappoint. If you're in doubt of getting it but you've played the previous versions and enjoyed them, I would definitely recommend this one also. If you've never played the series but are looking for something competitive to enjoy with friends look no further... For 59$ + tax that I paid it's expensive but the replayability makes up for it. Highly recommended!

This was a birthday present for my grandson that he requested. He loves the game!
