Super Smash Bros is always a fun game, would obviously recommend it to anyone that enjoyed the others or just fighting games in general. Great fun playing against your buddies

I started off with smash 4 (3ds) and played the game solo for a long time until I met my best friends who also played the game but with melee. Every day after school I would watch them play or even get to play myself. The day ultimate was revealed we jumped right out of our seats. It’s been 2 years since that day and I can still say that this game and it’s franchise are one of the best things that happened to me, to the point of where I can now go toe to toe with them where I was getting decimated long before. I know no one might not read this review, but to all who worked on the game and helped give it out to the world, Thank you.

Smash bros has always been a Nintendo must have since the series began. Only thing is that you need to buy a controller to really play.

I should tell you that this review is from the perspective of a relative newbie to the Smash games. However, in my opinion, Super Smash Bros Ultimate is a very high quality game, in graphics, design, and gameplay. The game looks absolutely gorgeous, and although many of the characters are from different games, they all have a clearly cohesive art style. As far as the combat goes it is fairly easy to pick up. If you are just starting out and simply want to button mash, then you can. However, there is much deeper combat for the player who is interested. Overall, Ultimate is a high quality game that is gorgeous, well made, has great depth, and is highly acessible for the beginner.

Literal fun for the whole family. Seemingly never-ending backdrops and skin variations as well.

Fun game to play with family and friends, only downside is that you gotta unlock every character 1 by 1 which is a little time consuming to get them all but it’s worth the grind.

Love this game and love this system. I have had to get used to two buttons being a bit different than I am used to on the Xbox but it really did not take long. Great stuff.

To be frank, the gameplay is a massive step up from Smash Wii U/3DS. And while it still falls short of Melee's greatness, Ultimate isn't exactly far off. However, in content, Ultimate stands tall as the best in the series, even in spite of some absent modes. Spirits, while it can overstay its welcome after a while, sucks you in when you least expect it. And the changes made to Classic Mode makes it much more engaging to do with multiple characters. The only major flaws are the online (which is better than Wii U in some areas & worse in others) & the unlockable characters (which can get annoying after a while for a cast this big). Otherwise, this game is essential for any Switch owner.

My son has been playing this game nonstop. It's just as good as all the previous Super Smash Bros games but with more characters and options. If you have a switch then you need to get this game.

Unlocking all playable characters took me two days—and now the true games begin as I try to find that one character that I play best with. My cousins and I have been looking forward to playing this game since it was announced on the Switch. I’m glad we’ll be able to play it this Christmas and also whenever for those that live in another state. The menu is clear and doesn’t feel clunky; options for gameplay type are simple enough to set up and understand; and seeing Kirby hammer everyone to death in a smooth 60 FPS is incredibly satisfying.

Best decision I made. Family loves it, and being able to make your own fighting formats is a plus and gives me a chance to put my creative taste to a test.

I gets lost playing this game be having to set it down all the time

My husband and I, really like this game. Is fun to play with friends or alone. We like the fact that you can play in teams against the computer, as sometimes playing against each other can become repetitive. There are a lot of characters. The last time I played this game was in a cube! I was impressed by all the different stages and characters. My husband does not like how sometimes the screen can get jam packed with stuff going on, but I guess that how the game works. I haven't played with the spirits yet, as I'm still getting used to all the changes. Is full of content and probably we will played often.

Ever since the Nintendo 64 I've been playing smash bros and the nostalgic feeling and the excitement for it hasn't go. This game incorporate all those great characters that we played with over the year. Very entertaining and definitely very competitive. The online game can use an improvement because no matter how fast or stable it's your connection, the game will lag and there is some kind of late movement going on... Apart from that I have no cons other than it doesn't have Sephiroth... O wait it does now!!

Great game for kids and teenagers. Will recommend.

Even years later with buying this for a friend it never fails to disappoint. Brawl is still better. >:)

This is another good addition to the Smash Brothers lineup. The multiplayer is a little glitchy but I hear that Nintendo will get the kinks worked out. Other than that we really like the game.

Great game! Always a classic to play with friends never gets old.
