Like fighting games? Like Nintendo characters? Have you been living under a rack and never heard of Smash Brothers? What can I say about this game that basically hasn’t been said. It’s a fantastically fun time playing as many of the characters you have come to know and love over the years. Use Zelda and beat up Gannon, or bowser, Mario, peach, ect. They added 6 DLC sightseers with pass one...and have plans for 6 more with pass 2 over the next year. They just keep giving you more options on who to fight with. You can play up to 8 players sitting in your couch ( if you have that many controllers) or play online vs any number of opponents too! Great game, tons of fun. Just buy it already!

I'm going to get the flaws out of the way first since almost all the other reviews already talk about how amazing the game is (which it is). The online, input lag (for competitive players), and world of light (subjective). Online matchmaking has gotten better from release date but is still far from perfect, games can be laggy (advisable to play via Lan) and the ranking system (GSP) is bad. The ranking system doesn't show you where you are at since it ranks you via where you are at from all the players in the game (few points to more points that higher you are) meaning you can't tell where you are at plus other problems that you should investigate further). For matchmaking ometimes if you are looking for a 1v1, you get a free for all or if you are looking for a team battle, the same thing can happen. I also wish there was a stage select since that means if you want a 100 percent chance to get a competitive battle, you will need to choose battlefield or final destination because if you don't, the stages get picked randomly and you might get a huge stage where somebody could camp you out. Input lag is 100ms although pro controller and gamecube controller lag are negligible so use whichever one you want. Finally, world of light can be repetitive and grindy since you're just battling characters with special smash settings (although the references are cool). Positives however make up for more than enough of the games faults. Gameplay is amazing being fast and fluid compared to the predecessor. Old air dodge mechanic from melee is back meaning you can actually go offstage now and really punish players and the roster is amazing almost all characters being balanced in the debut of the game almost all of them with different and fun playstyles. Lots of cool and diverse stages. Finally, the soundtrack is phenomenal. Smash encompasses easy to get into, hard to master so anybody can have a good time. Newcomers should not be intimidated and the community is amazing and helpful. Definitely recommend this game.

Unlike some games that claim to be definitive or ultimate, this game is actually the ultimate version. Every character. Tons of tracks. A lot of content and different modes to play. If you like Smash at all this is a must play.

Bought this game for my daughter. She got so excited when I gave it to her that she ripped it open and started playing right away. It did not disappoint. Most reviewers love it. She does as well. Great addition to the franchise.

It is a game you can play for many years with your friends or just by yourself. I have smash bros from 3DS. This one can play on TV and big screen, can't miss it.

The game is most fun when you can get a whole group of friends together. Easy to figure out and enjoyable for the whole family.

Son is beating the snot out of me lol. The joy cons are small. Good family fun. Makes me want to buy my own switch and unlock all characters to get my title as video game champ back. Just buy. It’s great even for the none gamer.

Possibly the best in the franchise. Online play is not perfect, but couch play is fantastic. Enormous number of characters and a lot of modes to play. Eight players can play, gamecube controllers are supported and they're great.

Very fun game with a ton of characters to unlock. I think this is the best one in the series. Highly recommend it if you have a Switch and don't have this title already.

Great game, if you love the series you will enjoy this version. I'm a sucker for mobile gaming so i waited a long time to play this on the switch! The 3DS version doesnt count...it was NOT that good compared to the WiiU version.

Got for my son for a christmas gift. He's played it before and enjoyed it.

Game is really good graphics are amazing only problem is when u playing online and you choose solo mode when ever u do a rematch you get put into teams even when u customize your options game is great though perfect for all ages

The design team really did a fantastic job on this latest version of SSB. Online play can be laggy but I blame Nintendo for sleeping on the job when it comes to anything online. Great game and you can’t go wrong with this one.

It is a very fun game, you can spend hours playing it and you will never get bored.

The best of the best as it has every character ever made, every level made, and DLCs that come in here and there. With online fighting as well is a plus to fight or go into tournaments. Worth the purchase.

Smash Ultimate is a wonderful culmination of the other four Smash games that came before it. Even after a month of casual play I am still unlocking new characters and spirits regularly. If you love Smash, you already own this.
