Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the best local multiplayer game you can buy. It is super fun to play with friends. There are so many great characters to choose from. The World of Light single player is also surprisingly long and fun.

As a person who has been riding the hype train for Smash Ultimate, I was NOT disappointed in the slightest when I began to play it. There is just so much content in this game that I can already see myself having 100+ hours in it!!

We bought the Switch so that we could play more multiplayer games together and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate does not disappoint! It a chaotic blast! With 8 characters battling at once this game is constant action and constant fun!!

The campaign is great and the multiplayer is insane.

Best Game Ever to be created, especially fun playing with other people

Bought two games for my daughter and nephew. It was a gift from “Santa”. They absolutely love it and have been playing this non stop the past two days. Maybe I should’ve gotten them a boring game so they would read books instead.

I gave this as a gift for my boys. They've always loved Super Smash since the Wii days and this is a must have Nintendo game for keeps. As you would expect action packed gameplay with classic visuals and ALL characters are here!

While you could literally battle all your friends? Why not just battle them on the switch? Super smash Brothers a classic! Now Revamped for the Nintendo switch! Let me tell you I’ve put hours in this game already it’ll have you running back for more with its nostalgic and addicting gameplay! You won’t wanna put your switch controller back down!

Always a blast having some friends coming over to play some Smash Bros, even if 9/10 times it devolves down into everyone yelling at the King K Rool main who should've fallen off the stage but by all odds manages to get back onto the stage with his busted recovery :)

There's a good reason that they used the word Ultimate. Every character - along with a ton of stages and features - from all the previous Smash titles are here, and everything looks and feels better than ever.

I love smash bros! best game ever! This was the response I got when I asked my daughter to review the product. It was a Christmas present and it was a good one.

Nintendo has done it again! Super smash bros ultimate is one of my favorites! I love fighting games, and while this isn't Mortal Kombat, or Tekken, it is beautiful with a huge roster of characters which to me, means hours of fun.

This game feels like the culmination of every other one in the franchise. Every fighter who ever appeared in Smash is here plus lots more. I'll probably never unlock or see everything in here; the sheer amount of content is vast.

This is the best smash game ever! It deserves the ultimate in the name. If you are debating, don't debate any more. Pick it up. It is great and so much is packed into it. You will have so much fun and loose track of time playing.

Nintendo has done it again. Smash is a culmination of all the Nintendo universe characters and brings them into battle and play format. This game offers hours of fun into one packed game that is great for the family of all ages.

Like fighting games? Like Nintendo characters? Have you been living under a rack and never heard of Smash Brothers? What can I say about this game that basically hasn’t been said. It’s a fantastically fun time playing as many of the characters you have come to know and love over the years. Use Zelda and beat up Gannon, or bowser, Mario, peach, ect. They added 6 DLC sightseers with pass one...and have plans for 6 more with pass 2 over the next year. They just keep giving you more options on who to fight with. You can play up to 8 players sitting in your couch ( if you have that many controllers) or play online vs any number of opponents too! Great game, tons of fun. Just buy it already!

I'm going to get the flaws out of the way first since almost all the other reviews already talk about how amazing the game is (which it is). The online, input lag (for competitive players), and world of light (subjective). Online matchmaking has gotten better from release date but is still far from perfect, games can be laggy (advisable to play via Lan) and the ranking system (GSP) is bad. The ranking system doesn't show you where you are at since it ranks you via where you are at from all the players in the game (few points to more points that higher you are) meaning you can't tell where you are at plus other problems that you should investigate further). For matchmaking ometimes if you are looking for a 1v1, you get a free for all or if you are looking for a team battle, the same thing can happen. I also wish there was a stage select since that means if you want a 100 percent chance to get a competitive battle, you will need to choose battlefield or final destination because if you don't, the stages get picked randomly and you might get a huge stage where somebody could camp you out. Input lag is 100ms although pro controller and gamecube controller lag are negligible so use whichever one you want. Finally, world of light can be repetitive and grindy since you're just battling characters with special smash settings (although the references are cool). Positives however make up for more than enough of the games faults. Gameplay is amazing being fast and fluid compared to the predecessor. Old air dodge mechanic from melee is back meaning you can actually go offstage now and really punish players and the roster is amazing almost all characters being balanced in the debut of the game almost all of them with different and fun playstyles. Lots of cool and diverse stages. Finally, the soundtrack is phenomenal. Smash encompasses easy to get into, hard to master so anybody can have a good time. Newcomers should not be intimidated and the community is amazing and helpful. Definitely recommend this game.
