SSBU is a really fast-paced game, yet it's highly approachable. You don't need to be an expert button-masher to have fun here. The basic moves are easy to pick up and a few minutes in the practice area can help you hone your moves. Easy enough to start battling within your first 5-minutes with the game though. The breadth of chapters and battle environments is pretty astonishing. Love the fact that you can play with friends & family locally.

I bought this game, right after I bought my Nintendo Switch! I fell in love with this game because it brought me back to the Good ‘ol Days when Super Smash Brother was On Nintendo 64! It reminds me of that version but with so many more characters! I unlocked all 60+ Characters! It has a lot of Pokémon Characters that you'll be able to unlock too. My favorite Character is Mewtwo ! Also a great game for battle if up to 8 players!

Great game, being an old school arcade gamer... this game was a lot of fun. It was entertaining unlocking 60+ characters through classic mode. I’d give it 4-4.5 stars out of 5. But I gave it 5. Once I got all characters of 78 so far, so yeah like I said I’m an old school gamer I’m not interested really playing the other game modes that the kids play now a days... very entertaining though!

I don’t know because it is a Christmas gift. But it looks fun and from previous Mario games they have been a lot of fun for my grandsons

This is easily the best Smash game, it still may not be as competitive as Melee but definitely took steps in the right direction after WiiU. The game is faster and just feels so much feels and looks so much cleaner. By the way, the amount of content in this game is absolutely insane. After DLC, there will be 80 characters, over 110 stages and over 1000 music tracks. When it comes to content and fan service nothing can top smash ultimate.

If you bought a switch, I couldn't imagine going without this game. It's a great iteration of one of the best fighting game franchises ever. Great for kids, great for adults, great for casual play and crazy hardcore esport play. This is up there with Zelda, Mario Kart, and Mario Odyssey. Buy this so the next time you are at the laundromat you can get your butt whooped by the 10 year old sitting across from you.

It's Smash Bros. What else can I say? Well while I'd like a bit more third-party representation, I like that everyone from the past is back and primed to duke it out! With Best Buy leaking the first DLC character render, it makes me wonder if we'll get previews for the other planned characters in the future too. But all in all it's fun with others the most! A must-have for any Switch owner, Smash enthusiast or otherwise!

Got the game when it was on sale and really have enjoyed playing this game on the switch. The last super smash game I played was on the Wii, so it took a little to get used to the controls and learn the moves. The more you play, the more characters you unlock which makes it addictive to keep playing. Highly recommend picking it up.

This game stands up to the title of Ultimate. It includes every character ever featured in Smash Bros. and returns to the speeds and gameplay style that made Smash Bros. Melee my favorite Smash game for years. I wish the single player Adventure mode had a little more story like Brawl's Subspace Emissary, but let's be honest, the only real reason to pick up a Smash Bros. game is to ruin friendships in multiplayer mode haha.

Smash is a proven formula and Smash Ultimate doesn't mess with that, it just dishes out what we love in a very complete way, all the characters, a ton of stages and music which would be enough for me to be honest, but there is more here, with the spirits mode that just piles on the nostalgia in a set of themed battles to classic mode and lots of ways to customize it so you can play it how you want to. If you like Smash, it is a no brainer this is the Ultimate version of Smash! When I first saw Ultimate, I have to admit I did wonder if it was a "deluxe" version of Smash but once you have played it, you can really tell that it is its own game and while it builds on the past games Ultimate maintains its own style that plays differently compared to Melee or Smash. There are a few games that become console defining titles and the Switch already has a few! Smash Ultimate is easily a contender for top of the pile.

I don't remember smash bros being this difficult, but I suppose I can just turn the cpu level down. The menu can be confusing to navigate. Gameplay is excellent. Wish the tourney could be done with a 2-player team in 2v2 format.

IF you grew up playing the old games you’ll love it

If you’ve ever played a smash game then you know what you’re getting - tons of characters, game modes - perfect for fun with friends or trying to get as good as you can alone. One of the best all round games out there

So good. Love the characters, I even enjoyed the fact that I had to earn each new one. It gives me something to look forward to. I love the blaring alarm when a new challenger approaches. The Spirits mode seems very well-thought-out, the huge cast of assist characters is amazing, the soundtrack is unbelievable. I feel sad dropping Smash4 because of all the hours I've put into it, but I can't see myself ever going back.

I used to love the first smash brothers and now I get to give my son a chance on liking it too.

Kid loves it. Been waiting to purchase this. Fun game for multiplayer.
