This is my favorite game to play with my friends. We all come over and get so excited, brawling it out on the switch. I’m not a fan of the campaign, and same goes for the poor switch online services. But overall, a must for the switch.

This game is everything, in the best and worst way possible, haha. Multiplayer Smash is still as awesome as it has always been. This game is perfect for parties, groups, etc. A bit daunting for me since I've gotten older and aren't willing to spend countless hours grinding away to unlock everything. I have not tried the new Kingdom of Light story mode, but the Classic story mode is still fine for me. I think the game has a ton of content and unlockables that I will probably never complete because I won't invest the time. Some of your favorite characters will require a grind to get unlocked. Still, I never doubted if I should add this game to my collection. I recommend the physical copy so you can play it 10 years from now. Don't forget, people still own N64s and the original Super Smash Bros is probably the main reason why.

Have had every smashbros game since nintendo 64 so getting this was a must for my nostalgia itsh as a kid..

At the start, I was skeptical on the battle mechanics as they differ than that of Smash 4 in certain areas. Particularly the way the air dodge system works. Gameplay is still fun and I'd say it's the most fast paced it's ever been. But let me get to the real reason I gave this game 5 stars. Look at Pichu. Have you ever seen a more beautiful being? Finally back from Melee, after all these years, he has trained and is now ready to take his place as the King of Smash. His tiny little legs, His perfect happy smile. You can rest assured that while you're annihilating your opponent they aren't going to rage quite or cancel out the match on you because even though you're relentlessly beating the crap out of them, you're just too darn cute to be mad at. Go ahead, hit that taunt button. You know you need to.

Purchased this copy as a gift for a friend, because I already own it. This is a must have for most Switch owners—Smash Bros makes for an excellent party game much in the same way as Mario Kart or Mario Party. If you want to get serious with it though, there’s a great level of depth—there are tons of technical skills you can master, and techniques that ho far beyond casual play. It is however a very accessible game, and is not your typical fighting game. The roster is absolutely huge, even before you account for all the DLC fighters. Plenty of content to keep you occupied. I will say though, that there isn’t a real story mode like in Melee or Brawl, which may disappoint some.

Great game for the price playing the game is the same style in the series

Non-stop excitement. This was purchased for my 5 year old. He can turn the game on himself and play thru breakfast and lunch (seriously). Competition mode brings another level of excitement. Great for all ages. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter asked for it for Christmas she screamed and said this was the best Christmas when she got this game with the Nintendo switch new version I didn't get as a bundle I paid for it separately but it was worth it.

We bought it for my cousin and he brought it to New Years. It was extremely entertaining for all the kids. Everyone enjoyed it. It is a great family game and brought everyone together. Definitely recommend if you have big family parties.

One of the best games on the switch. Probably the best multiplayer experience on the platform. If you have a big family or have a bunch of nerdy friends this is a great time.

I purchased this game to play with my daughter and it’s a lot of fun! The only thing I don’t like is that she’s kicking my behind in this game! But with all the hours I’m putting in, I hope to turn the tide soon!

My son and grand-daughter loved the game! They play online together all the time. I've played it myself a couple of times, and I'm not much of a gamer.

i have hundreds of hours in this. tons of polish, huge cast, amazing fun couch co-op party game with friends. world of light may be way too long and repetitive, but it's a fun twist to combine story mode with the old events mode.

This is one of those must have games that you can pick up and play nonstop. I started off playing the GameCube version when I was a kid and ever since then I’ve been a huge fan. My brothers and I would play the game all day just enjoying the sheer chaos and the extensive cast of colorful, unique characters! It’s in the same tier as Mortal Kombat in the sense that it really is just iconic and overall well built. While it may appear to be simple, the combat is very layered albeit easy to understand. Buy this for your kids and even your adult friends with a Nintendo. They will never forgot this gift much like I never forgot my brother buying us a PlayStation 4! Have fun.

Fun game. Played a lot as a kid on the Wii, glad to play it again.

My kids love playing this game, and the adults love it too! Fun fighting game action that's not too intense (for the young ones) and not too difficult (for the unexperienced ones), but has plenty of things to master (for the rest of us).

There's no other way to play. This game is the definitive smash bros experience. The game has a lot to offer whether you're a casual player or a hardcore smash player. This game is well balanced and nearly perfect in every way.

So much fun! Nintendo does it again! Can't wait for the next!
