    An improvement on the series

The series is a classic, and my family has enjoyed playing together over the holiday. This update includes all the content you would expect and then some, and the single-player mode should give it some added longevity.

A game with quality and a roster that spans throughout every Smash game known to mankind is a no-brainer. This game is one of the must-haves in the Switch’s library and you won’t be disappointed with your purchase.

This game has everything. Literally everything. 75+ characters in a fighting game?! Check. Granular customization for the rules and controls of every smash battle. Check. Begging able to save those rules for quick access anytime. Check and check. Boundless other modes that have hundreds of hours of playability.Check. 100+ stages in a fighting game!? Freaking unheard of. Check. A massive story mode that while not the absolute best is still a technical miracle to fit with everything else on a tiny SD card and is still good. Check. Don't even question it. If you have a switch you should have this game.

The Ultimate Evolution of Smash Bros

I bought this expecting basically a prettier re-skin of the Smash Bros games, but got so much depth. The spirit system, the Adventure campaign... there's way more than button mashing here in a fun, nostalgic package.

    The Ultimate Experience

Smash Ultimate really does live up to it's name. Almost everything from every smash bros is here and I couldn't be happier. All stages are unlocked right off the gate, which is an excellent change of pace. Characters still need to be unlocked but you can get a new character almost every ten minutes of play time (or even faster with a few exploits), or by playing through the Adventure mode. It's a solid experience and while a lot of stuff is old, it's ultimately a new, yet nostalgic experience.

Finally a game they dont get bored with within a half hour. There are many games within the game that keep them entertained. This is not another routine game where boredom will set in. Good buy!

This game is primarily the whole reason I bought a Nintendo Switch to begin with. You can’t own a Switch, or any other Nintendo console for that matter, and not own said console’s corresponding Smash Bros. game.

I really liked Smash for Wii U. I thought it was a blast. This one goes above that game in all but one category. SPEED! This game feels laggy / slow. I dont know what it is about it but things just dont seem as quick and responsive as the Wii U Smash. It might be fixed in a later patch or optimization, but as on now, its still slow (1.2 patch). Otherwise, love the fast character unlocking, and all the levels / characters in this game. I only feel that responsiveness seems meh.

ALL 63 characters* from past Smash Brothers game are included in this game +6 brand new characters +5 new echo fighters, +6 DLC characters** (not yet released). -New characters include: Inkling (Splatoon Series) Ridley (Metroid) King K. Rool (Donkey Kong) Isabelle (Animal Crossing) Incineroar (Pokemon) Simon (Castlevania) It's not hard to get into this game, I've playing it since the Wii U so I already knew what to expect. I didn't mind starting off with just 8 characters and unlocking the rest. For people that are new to the Super Smash Bros scene, please take the time to understand the game and each characters fighting style. This is not a button mashing fighting game, you actually need to learn how each character works.

This game has been very fun for myself, my 9 year old and 5 year old daughters. Trip down memory lane and easy enough for them to pick up and play. Still working through obtaining new characters.

    It's Smash Bros

What can I say? It's a Smash Bros game. Many people were awaiting the release of this game ever since the Wii U Smash Bros was released. They did not disappoint in the slightest. There are so many playable fighters to choose from. The single player mode is quite long and will keep most players busy for some time (20+ hours). The online mode is mostly excellent but I do wish Nintendo would allow parties where you group up with friends online and then enter online matchmaking with them. Currently, you have to search for a room with similar settings and then enter the same room in order to play with friends and other random people online. Still, I would definitely recommend this game. Sakurai has put so much work into this.

This version of Super Smash Bros. is amazing. It works for both casual gamers and those interested in a hardcore fighting game. There are plenty of interesting game modes for multiplayer matches with your friends in addition to a fun single player experience that offers some challenge while staying pretty enjoyable. The single player is lacking in cut scenes and I wish the stickers were more like trophies from previous entries, but the fights are creative and stay fresh over hundreds of matches. If you're competitive Ultimate offers a very polished, technical fighting game that will be a welcome addition to current tournament play. Overall this game is just really fun to play and definitely one of the top games out there for the Switch.

    Best Smash Yet??

This game is incredible! Easily the best Smash Bros. game since Melee for GameCube, it could potentially be even better than that. There is so much depth to this game with so many differing modes to play and such a robust cast of characters to play with. Some fighting styles have changed, which is a benefit to those just starting off so they won't be completely dominated by friends/competition since everyone has to relearn to some extent. Final smashes have been updated with new cutscenes. It really is a joy to play and very addictive! I think we have already put over 30 hours of playtime on our copy since it released last Friday... lol If I could have waited for this for Christmas it would have been the best Christmas gift possible!

The Biggest & Best Smash Bros. Yet

Super Smash Bros. has had a long a storied history going all the way back to the Nintendo 64. Now, being an ancient dinosaur I've had the privilege of playing each and every Smash game as they came out... and I have to say, I believe this game is the best one they've produced yet. With over 70 characters and more stages than should be legally possible, you really can't get bored with the game's selection. The combat is MUCH improved over the previous "Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS," which I already thought was an improvement over Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. Whether you're looking for a party fighting game to play with friends or a surprisingly deep fighter to master and dominate opponents with, you can't go wrong with Smash Ultimate.
