Great Game for beginners and veterans

This is what I think one of the best games and one of the best crossovers in not only video game history, but one of the best in entertainment history. I know it's a stretch to say that, but trust me, when you see the characters added into the games, some of them are not even from Nintendo. The graphic are really nice, not too flashy but very high quality and the mechanic of some fighters take some getting used to, but remember there's more than 70+ fighters in the game, the base mechanics are the same but all of them, but have different abilities. This game is great for those new to Smash and learning the mechanics and veterans who are either getting back into playing it or going to be playing it professionally/competitively. This is what creator Masahiro Sakurai said during the E3 2018 presentation, which is that this game is "best Smash for your buck." And also if you watch all the reactions on YouTube on all of the Nintendo Directs about Smash, you'll see why this game is worth the hype. Also don't forget about the Fighter Pass too! This game is fun for all ages and high recommended.

Everyone can find something fun to do in Smash. You can play alone in 3 different modes, or play with friends online or on your couch. It has every single fighter you may remember from earlier games. It runs great. Essentially, it is a must-buy for Switch owners that have any interest in fighting or multiplayer games.

With a roster of 77 characters(more if you get the fighter pass) you can't go wrong picking up this game. Had it since day one and it looks and plays great and docked and unlocked mode. No matter what kind of gamer you are you will find a home in this game. If you're still reading, why haven't you bought this game yet?

    Best Smash Game Ever!

As a long time fan of the super smash bros. series, this is the absolute best smash game I’ve ever had. And I have all of them! Just the fact that all of the characters from previous titles are here speaks volumes of the amount of work put into this game. Competitively, I love the balance of the whole cast. Everyone feels good to play, even pichu! The single player campaign is also very lengthy and feels like an rpg with the spirit and skill system. I feel like all it’s missing is a bosh rush mode after beating the game. Speaking of modes, I do wish the break the targets or home run contest were back, or at least stage builder, but I can understand them being low priority additions out of time constraints from the huge cast and I’m just hopeful for future dlc with these modes. Overall, I’m very pleased with the game and I love this game a lot!

This game is the best Smash Bros. to date! You can plan with friends, other Switches, online with friends or with Smash players around the world with Nintendo Online. Not to mention dozens of levels (and mods to EACH level), and over 70 characters to activate. It’s a smashing good time for all, and for years to come!

Oh man, so many characters! Well worth the time to unlock them. Granted, it isn't that well balanced when there are so many characters but it fun to just try them out and party with friends. Speaking of friends, eight simultaneous players! So chaotic and fun on maps of all sizes. A must have for all Switch owners!

Its expanded roster and new levels let you brawl it out with your friends with your favorite characters in iconic locations from Nintendo games. Great game, different modes you can chose to play. Other than having to play a decent amount to continue unlocking characters it’s a great game.

Though a little overwhelming upon first launching the game, it’s fast-paced, beautiful, stylish and worth every penny. There is so much to do from the start that you will not need to buy the expansion for months. The characters unlock in a challenger-style mode, and you don’t need to play online to enjoy the game.

I've personally beng playing Smash Bros ever since it came out on the N64 for the first time. Always loved these games. The fact that this game has every character and a lot of the stages that came out on the previous versions of the game. Real fun party game for fans! This is a must buy with you Nintendo Switch.

    Good Online Play

There's a lot to do in this installment of Smash. With 74+ characters and numerous well-thought-out stages you really get the bang for your buck! It's a great party game with multiple people playing as veterans or even as first-timers; it's fast yet fair, so new players can become more comfortable with it. While there's a lot to do, I personally find that it lacks the charm once found in Brawl, but more than makes up for it with its good online play and overall fast gameplay. A lot of people say that the online play creates too much lag, making it unplayable, but I've personally only experienced minimal lag across the board and have had a great time using the online arenas for practicing against real players (rather than the CPUs). It has to do more with the person's own wifi connection, I think. Either way, I mainly got Ultimate for its online play (during COVID that comes in handy) and for the characters and how fast they move. Very fun!

Really good! The game is really good. My favorite character is Samus. I like when a new foe appears so you can unlocked the character if you win the battle. Play now!

If you've ever enjoyed Super Smash Bros, then this for you. Every character ever, just about every stage, and a lot of additions besides. Of course, it doesn't have every single mode, and your mileage may vary on World of Light, but it's still got the core gameplay that made the series great,

This game takes the best of Smash Bros. & condenses it into one of the best Switch games out right now. Tons of characters, tons of stages, great soundtrack & extremely polished graphics. If you’re a diehard Smash fan or new to the series, you will love this game. It’s a love letter to gaming.

You start witb 8 then you'll unlock 66 after the rest of the characters. This is by far one of the most characters I've seen in a video game. I feel like my dream came true with a crossover with all of these characters. The only I find kind of disappointing is when they have characters like mario have another mario character like dr.mario it's a wasre of slot why not give these characters variations instead then just add a completely different character in that roster slot. For instance choose Mario a sub manu comes up for different variations of mario. I think this would be a better idea then add the other characters in the other roster slot. That would've made room for Sephiroth, Akuma, the list goes on. This would be a great idea for the next super smash bros. What I'm saying is any character that has different versions of that characters should have a variation menu otherwise this is a waste of characters slot to add even more characters. Or maybe it's too much for devices well one day we would have it. All in all, it's a good game so far.

70+ characters. 100+ levels. this a great 2D fighting game in the mold of Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc. The difference is that this one is very family-friendly where the object is to Smash your opponent off of the screen. You can do anything from 1v1 to 4v4. Another great party game on the Switch.

We waited until the grandson was 9 to get this game.....he loves it. You can also battle others on the internet in a safe environment or you can play against the game itself. There are so many different characters to battle. You gain powers as you progress.
