I went to the Tucker store. The lady in computers was not helpful. We asked her questions about the computer. Her response was "I guess". I had to return this computer to get the correct computer I was looking for. I will not be returning to this store.

I ordered this as my main computer since I typically only run 2 programs and was not satisfied within the first day. The lag time got to be ridiculous even after a few hours of using it. I’m returning it for an iPad.

Limited Application Use Even with Windows 11

    Posted .

I brought this computer because of the hardware and screen experience, not excepting the issues with running applications that should work out of the box. Can you say "windows phone? It is the same experience: good idea but bad execution. The reason is because of the ARM64 processer. While it gives you excellent battery life and a better screen experience, it is an experiment running non-Microsoft applications. Even after I upgraded to Windows 11, which should have taken care of those issues, it was more frustrating because the problems did not show up until you run the applications. Using it for simple office or schoolwork applications; may work fine. If you want to use any graphics(lacks compatibility with graphics applications like Zwift), you will run into issues. By the way, I spent a month working with Microsoft support to get a replacement for a refurbished Surface Pro 7 or 8. Their response was the "system" would not let them do this. Now that the Pro 8, I would get that instead. I predict that the Pro X will have same fate as the Windows Phone or Zune.

I managed to get one while it was $200 off. I already have an iPhone Apple Watch and AirPods I did not want an iPad, it’s an oversized iPhone. I knew I wanted the surface from the commercials. It is a great product besides the keyboard itself not coming with the purchase that’s my only gripe, the surface pro x is awesomeee.

Surface Pro X Ruined my Life

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Okay the title is a bit dramatic, but the Surface Pro X is actually terrible. I got the surface pro x to be my main tablet/laptop during graduate school. I bought it a couple months before school was set to start so I could get used to the new device, as I was switching from previously using an ipad to a surface for the first time. After school started I quickly found out the ARM chip inside the Surface Pro X wasn't able to run any of the applications I needed them to. The surface pro x can't even connect to the printers on campus. By the time I realized my mistake it had been too long to get a refund. I had to purchase an old macbook that was 7 years older than the surface pro x to run the same applications that the surface pro x couldn't. As a poor grad student that put unneccesary stress on my life. If you need something to be able to hop on the internet and run microsoft office applications at subpar speeds, then hey this might be the thing for you. I spent five minutes creating an account and another five typing this up just trying to warn people so that others don't have to go through the pain I'm going through. Do yourself a favor, do not get the Surface Pro X.
