These were easy to install. Howevere the set up through the recorder isn't that friendly, trying to watch recorded footage isn't as easy at it needs to be. The cameras keep shutting off and on.

Old dvr technology with low resolution camera. Upgrade NVR system with IP cameras..

I returned it because I found a better unit that was wireless commercial grade for the same price

If you want a wired camera this is it we couldn't have this at our house though went wireless

I really liked this surveillance system. Nice!!!!!

I ended up with two of these systems and both were basically dead out of the box. Support for Swann couldn't even get them to come to life and work. Swann thought they may just be a bad batch. I don't know but I went a different route for security cameras.

I buy this security system and is impossible activate online , when we try to put the admin password doesnt work

The Lorex system we purchased lasted long enough for the warranty to expire. Don't waste $400 like we did on Lorex.

I could not use this camera, it was not the right fit for me.

It is refreshing to phone customer service and actually talk to someone. It's even better when they can actually help you get everything up and running within minutes. I like things that work... At the same time, if I didn't feel up to doing all the work myself, the system comes with free professional installation - all I would have had to do was phone and make an appointment. Definitely, a good product!!!

Read instructions, got everything installed 100% and the quality for what is supposed to be 720 HD is horrible. I have seen better quality from old school Nokia phones from the late 90's. The video quality is not sharp at all, is awful with any kind of light. It blows out horribly. I even went in and messed with all the settings for brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc and nothing helped at all. Will be taking them back, wish I had of tested before installing, lol. Live and learn.

I haven't had any issues with it. The picture is pretty good. I may have installed it wrong, or maybe its too far away, but one of them does not work well in low light. Also, the DVR kind of had scratchy video, but Swann promptly replaced it.

I purchased this system to replace an all wireless samsung system that went bad. After installing it worked right away. The one thing that took me the longest to get working was the internet/iphone connection for remote viewing. But after clicking/checking the enable DHCP box in the network tab and restarting the modem and router it worked just fine. The only thing I can't get to work is the email notification, but I can live without it. So far so good.

I had this product for 1 month and it works great. Night vision is clear also

Good system instructions not great and running wire is a pain in the rear but overall god system.

Let me start by saying I bought this because all of our neighbors have been broken into in the middle of the night. We have a security system and wanted to add this to our system for peace of mind. This project took all day and we still aren't done. We live 30 minutes from bestbuy and had to return system after customer support at swann said I had a faulty dvr. When I called bestbuy to make sure I could return just the dvr the man on the phone said I had to return the whole system which meant taking the cameras I had installed and all wiring . I argued because I was already frustrated and we were able to return just the dvr. Again I must sat we live 30 mins away. So that's 2 hours of driving round trip on two trips. I then got the other dvr and it did the same thing. When you call swann customer support they make you do all the standard things that you have already done. Unplug this wait 10 seconds , Unplug this tap your belly 3 times and stand on your head at the same time. Even after you told them you have already done that. They do not listen to you. Come to find out even after the nicer Guy at the bestbuy gave us two more extra plugs for the system (1 for cameras 1 for dvr) that swann in two packages sent the wrong amperage DC plugs. They should be rated for 3 amps and not 2! If you like dealing with people that you cannot understand because they are foreign,bad customer service and faulty products then this is definitely the way to go.

For survalince it is ok. Good range and about 60 feet at night. Now the bad. You need a magnifying glass to read the pamplet to set up for email. After two days I had to call tech support and was informed that my dve needed a up grade. They sent me a link to download a 7zip file which i downloaded and was never abvle to open or transfer to a flash drive. Nextday I turned my computer to tech and after 1 hour we gave up. The phone line to tech had so much static that we were not able to communiate. Returned to dealer.

These systems are good for viewing live feed when away from home but for play back when you need to review an incident its a pain. I been having so much issues with viewing any footage now that i actually need it because someone stole 3 of my pups i cant search properly to find the incident such a headache. Good for live feed but dont recommend it if you want to screen through footage

Given two purchases over the last 4 years I have experienced 25% camera failure (count on one in every 4 camera infared systems failing) and 100% customer service failure. Its impossible to get Swann to answer their phones or e-mail. I will never purchase from them again.
