Nintendo does Handheld so well. Smaller portable version of the switch with almost the same amount of power as the original but in cooler colors. Your games play and look amazing on this device. Never had a problem with it. Still works well to this day.. you can get 2-3 hrs of game play on the go with one charge. You won’t regret it!

I got pulled into the cozy/casual game phenomena and this was the perfect device. The battery life was quite long and it's very lightweight and perfect for gaming on the go. The only accessory I'd recommend is to get your own micro SD card since the storage on the device is too small and you need it especially if you're planning to have more than 5-6 games on your switch.

I’m a lil crazy cos I already own an OLED Nintendo switch but I wanted a smaller / more portable version of a switch. Even though the screen isn’t nicer than the OLED model, it is definitely worth considering if 1.) you only plan on playing in handheld mode. 2.) if you’re on a budget and just want to play some Nintendo exclusives. I like the indigo color, and it is very lightweight and easy to carry. Even for my large hands, I can game comfortably for an hour without my hands getting too tired. It has a micro sd card slot, the speakers are loud enough, and the touch screen works fantastic. Slap a thin clear case on it and it’ll feel even better in the hands. My only complaint about the switch lite is that Nintendo makes it kind of cumbersome to own multiple consoles. For example.. I can’t play my animal crossing save or Pokémon saves on both switch’s that I own. So when I want to play those games I have to play on my bigger OLED switch. Other than that, I love my switch lite: it comes everywhere with me. I don’t mind if it gets beat up in my backpack.

If you want a Switch but don't care about playing on your TV, multiplayer or movement games, this is an affordable alternative. It comes in several colors but the Turquoise is absolutely beautiful. Easy set up, but if you're downloading games to play it'll take a while. I'd suggest getting a memory card with the console. Depending on the size of the digital games you download, you might only have space for 2 or so.

My son is OBSESSED! It’s perfect size for him. He’s 5 and fits in his hands really well compared to my OLED. The only part he doesn’t like is that he can’t hook it up to the tv like mine.

Nintendo has done an incredible job in creating the Switch Lite. Don't confuse this with the regular Switch. The Switch Lite cannot be docked to play on a TV, it does not have HD rumble, you cannot use it for Nintendo Labo, but this is all due to Nintendo creating a near perfect dedicated handheld device. The Lite is more durable, lightweight, and perfect for on the go. If you don't plan on ever wanting to play on your TV, then this is the Switch for you.

Was a gift for my sister for christmas, and she loves it! She’s been begging to use my switch lite, and so I figured i’d get her her own. She’s been playing animal crossing, hogwarts legacy, pokémon violet, etc, and it’s great. She goes to college so she plays with it in between classes. It’s small, portable, and well made.

PROS- The device deserves no less than 5 stars because it is the device that plays the best video games. It’s light-weight, bright, well constructed, good enough graphics, good size screen, nice battery, it has a headphone port. Cons- Not very ergonomic- you may want to get a grip extension for it. There isn’t a lot of storage that comes with it, but you can add storage with a micro-so card. Games for it get pretty pricey, they are worth it, but I recommend buying the games used when possible. There is no way to hook this up to TV or external monitor, sometimes when viewing a cutscene in a game, or playing a big open world game, I feel like I could be missing out on some quality by not having as much of a screen. There is no Bluetooth for headphones, you have to use the headphone jack or the speakers.

I binged and bought this as a companion to my regular Switch. It works out great and I take my Lite out with me instead of my main Switch. I just prefer using it as my handheld companion instead of the main one. The weight is much lighter and is smaller so it's easier to hold. It has a decent battery life for long time play. The color is very pleasant too.

This is a great way to play some great Nintendo Switch games, especially if you're on a limited budget. Granted there will be a few trade-offs considering it comes in at about $100 lower than the regular Switch system, but overall, I'd say it's well worth it, especially if you're on the go, or don't need to hook it to a TV. Battery life is decent, and will probably vary depending on which games you play on it. With Lego City Undercover, I get probably around 3.5 to just under 4 hours on a charge, for example. But since you can still play it while it's charging up, that's really not too much of an issue, in my opinion. The screen is nice and bright, and very sharp as well. Nintendo certainly did a great job here, and the controls feel nice too. Like I've seen a few others mention, the overall audio could stand to be somewhat louder, but considering the smaller size of this unit, that's probably to be a little bit expected. Overall, I think Nintendo did an excellent job with this system, especially at this price point. The slim size of the Switch Lite gives it a great portability factor as well. I highly recommend it.

I've always wanted a Nintendo Switch, but as an undergrad with very limited access to a decent TV, I was certain I'd only use it in handheld mode, and therefore couldn't justify buying a console whose main selling feature was its versatility. I grew up with an old Nintendo DS and loved it-- it was well-designed, lightweight, and functional. But when it broke, I tried out a 3DS and found it to be annoyingly bulky. It wouldn't necessarily have been a big deal, but I knew the bulk was in part due to a bunch of extra features I'd never wanted to use-- that was more frustrating than anything. Enter: the Switch Lite. Many of its critics are frustrated with its limited capabilities compared to the original Switch, but for those in my situation, it's absolutely phenomenal. The Switch Lite is perfect for those who enjoyed the older DS consoles, but want to play newer Switch games (i.e. ACNH). I love the size and weight of mine, which can be attributed to the fact that it has no detachable parts. Again, the lack of Joy Cons are a huge downside for people who are accustomed to the versatility of the original Switch, but to me it feels like an old-fashioned handheld console, and that's all I need. I bought the model I'm reviewing (turquoise) for my sister and have a gray one for myself. They truly are excellent, and have been a lifesaver while social distancing.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for a family member. They have enjoyed the portability, as well as the coral color. The lite is great for handheld only gamers, as you can’t dock it, but tabletop and online multiplayer is still available. The Switch library is the same but some games require extras like joycons (Super Mario Party).

If you don't want the bigger switches this switch lite is for you. Small than the regular and OLED but still performs the same. If you have bigger hands maybe think about getting one of the others. I have to contour my hands a bit uncomfortably to hold it but overall good for the price.
