Best looking limited edition switch yet, the gold looks really good matching other zelda themed consoles, the docks art is so detailed, and well its an oled so you know the screen looks amazing ready for zelda tears of the kingdom.

Bought for my son as a birthday present. He already had the regular Switch but had been wanting the OLED version so when this one came out I knew he would love it. There is a big difference between the regular and OLED switch. Not only it is the perfect gift for a Zelda fan, the graphics, screen size and processor are way better. The Kickstand is also much better to use when you are using the joycons as controllers as the stand goes from side to side on the back instead of a small one sided stand.

There is about a ten dollar mark up for this because it is Zelda themed. So if that means nothing to you, then pass it up. As for the system itself? It seems to have improved over the last few years. The OLED screen is a bit bigger and more crisp than prior versions, and I'm sorry but that is a must for tiny screens. The picture has to be good. I can't say for sure, but it also feels like the actual operating system for the switch may have improved as well. Again, I can't say for sure, but it just feels more responsive and as if it has more features than I remember. But it's been a few years, so I can't say for sure. As for the rest? You get the same as a typical system set, except that it has a bit of a Zelda theme to it. One recommendation from me, though... Get yourself some used controllers from gamestop or wherever so you don't have to use the ones in this set. No need to tarnish them over time, which you definitely will. If you're considering this system with a slight mark up, I assume it's because of the theme. Better still, maybe just get a different system all together and keep it as a collector. All the same, whatever you do, definitely get some extra controllers. The switch controllers are the least reliable of all the systems and I say this from experience. I actually use both used controllers and a Guily Kit king kong pro controller for this system. Haven't touched the controllers that came with this and don't intend to. The choice is yours to make on what to do with a themed system. Just take in mind that it is a slight mark up. As a Zelda fan, I'm fine with that. How about you? Five stars for Performance as it works pretty good. Two for storage, cause really... it can be better One for controllers, because Nintendo has the lowest reliability rating of all the game systems so far. Still a solid system, though.

The highly detailed zelda designed OLED Switch is a beautiful and sleak system. The custom dock is more detailed than most exclusives and really ties the whole swtup together. The OLED screen is noticeably brighter, heavier, and had better resolutions. A must have for the Zelda fan who plays on the go more than docked or for the die-hard zelda fan that wants yhe exclusive design. I am glad Nintendo released this and has kept the production running.

Beautiful system. The soft plastic back feels nice and the design is gorgeous. The dock looks great on my shelf. The screen is beautiful, so much brighter than the original Switch, with deeper blacks. When I first heard of this updated model, I thought that it wouldn't be worth it. Seeing it in person changed my opinion. A Nintendo Switch OLED model is a must have for a beautiful gaming experience on the go. While I recognized the superiority of the OLED model, I was still satisfied with my original switch. Then the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom edition came out and I had to buy it. With the improved quality of the OLED model and the gorgeous artwork on the Switch and dock, I couldn't pass this up. The joycons look great too! Now, I'm comparing this to other Nintendo Switch models. If you're considering this system versus other brands, know what you're in for. If you want to game on the go, and love Nintendo games, this is it. If you want to play online multiplayer on the couch, an XBox or PlayStation might be the way to go. The switch is fantastic for games on the go, fun family games, and a great catalog of Indy games, but it is an aging system. Rumors are that there might be a new Nintendo console coming in 2024, and products like the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally are like befier Switches, but with a full PC experience and wider game catalogs (albeit no Nintendo games). In conclusion, if you know you want a Switch, you know you want Nintendo games, and you don't want to wait for a rumored new Nintendo console, get this. If you want a larger library, a more powerful machine, and don't care about Nintendo games, consider other options.

I absolutely love this and I was so stoked that I was able to snag one of these! I had one of the original switches and finally upgraded to the OLED because this one is a Zelda edition! I recommend this to anyone who loves Legend of Zelda! The upgraded features are really cool like the larger screen, better kickstand, lan port on the dock, and longer battery life. Of course, the aesthetic is amazing and a must for Zelda fans!!!

I have the first gen of the Switch and now the Switch OLED TOTK Limited Edition. This console is very well made and thought out. From the details on the dock, to the back of the console all the way to the joy cons. Its beautiful in all aspects of the word. The Switch OLED is definitely an upgrade to the first gen Switch. The screen is bigger, brighter and cleaner. The Switch OLED is meant for you to use it on the go. When connected to your TV there is no difference in quality. I just want to make that very clear. I know allot of people that think that getting the OLED versus the regular Switch, they're hoping for better graphics on your TV. No. That isn't the case. This outputs 1080p just like the regular Switch. The change is seen on the consoles screen itself. This is what you're paying extra for. Back to the TOTK edition. All in all, if you're a Zelda fan this is definitely a must have. If you're not but you enjoy unique and cool looking things. Then this one is for you too. If you just want a plain and modern shell, then just grab the regular OLED. Also let me make sure to be very clear. Tears Of The Kingdom console does NOT include the game. So if you're buying this for yourself or as a gift and you want to play TOTK, make sure to buy a copy of the game when you get this. The game is not included. I hope you find my review helpful. The ToTK OLED is a great themed Switch to have, the joycons and dock have such a nice pattern and match very well together. As an OLED, it’s a small improvement over the last version of the switch with its new, bigger screen and brighter, more vibrant colors. It’s not too much bigger than the v1 and v2 switches but still decently comfortable to hold. My only complaints would be that the back shell of the switch is black instead of white like the dock, I feel the black color is out of place with the rest of the design and would have blended much better if it was white. Other than that, the system is great and if you don’t have an OLED I would highly recommend this one. However, I wouldn’t go spending your money on another OLED just because it’s Zelda if already owning one or more.

I bought this Legends of Zelda TOTK console because of the stylish look and mostly so I could play the latest Zelda game. I’ve been impressed by the size and quality of this Nintendo Switch compared to prior versions. The battery life is excellent.

The best console ever. I am not a full time gamer. I just barely play but I really like the idea of just picking up the console and playing the game here and there. It is a great upgrade from thee old non-OLED switch. I really like the screen quality, graphics and overall performance. I am still playing Zelda on it and will be playing the same game for quite some time. Overall I recommend this product.

This Switch has a great OLED display and I love the designs on the body that you can see in the Tears of the Kingdom game. I like that it still comes with the usual switch accessories like the holder that makes your switch controllers into one, the wrist straps for two joycons, and the dock and charger.

Upgraded to the TotK OLED Switch from a v2 switch and love the screen upgrade when playing mobile. Dock looks great. Joy cons I didn’t like at first but have grown on me and remind me of my old gold ocarina 64 cartridge. The switch itself has a subdued design on the back, nothing crazy but does look nice. No different than the regular oled model so I’d only purchase if you like the design or like Zelda.

I upgraded from the very first switch and do not regret my decision at all. The screen quality, battery life, storage, speediness, and kickstand are all upgrades compared to my previous console. I'm a big LoZ fan so this was another contributing factor in my decision to upgrade as well! 10/10 recommend! The joycons and dock are beautiful with their design reflecting the Zonai markings from the game.

Bought this TOTK OLED switch on behalf of my roommate. It's a handsome system. Definitely a luxury item and while I would happily recommend it for a first time switch buyer I wouldn't upgrade if you currently already have a switch. This specific model is gorgeous and the dock and controllers are packed with detail. I especially love the detailed Tri Force on the dock which also has the symbols of the three Hylian Goddesses. Despite the screen being the main marketing point for the OLED, I find the best feature for the OLED models is actually the superior kick stand. Unlike the thin stick on the OG model, OLED switches have an entire backing plate that folds out. This makes OLED the ideal console for players who intend to travel with their switch and use it in tabletop mode. As far as actual gaming, there has been no discernable difference between the OLED's performance and that of a standard switch. However, the battery is slightly more efficient. The only problem I have with the OLED is that the cartridge holder does not close as easily as the OG model. This is a minor issue but there have been times where I've noticed the cartridge lid slightly pops up if I'm not careful. If you plan to exclusively use the console in its docked set up and are not a LOZ mega fan you will be just as happy with the cheaper, standard switch. However, if you can afford this OLED model I do find it to be the overall superior product.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom edition Nintendo Switch, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with this console. The theme of the console is absolutely stunning. The dock itself is a work of art, with its intricate design and beautiful detailing that truly captures the essence of the Zelda universe. Every time I looked at it, I felt like I was transported to Hyrule, ready to embark on a new adventure. The joycon controllers are fantastic. The gold color is simply gorgeous, and they feel comfortable and natural in my hands. While I know stick drift is an issue, I plan on modding these with Hall effect sticks. But perhaps the most impressive feature of this Nintendo Switch is the OLED screen. The colors are so vivid and bright, and the picture quality is unparalleled. I particularly enjoyed playing games like Zelda Breath of the Wild, Metroid Dread, and Persona 5 on this console, as the graphics truly came to life on the OLED screen. It's like I was right there in the game world, experiencing everything in stunning detail. Overall, I would highly recommend the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom edition Nintendo Switch to anyone looking for a high-quality gaming experience. The theme is breathtaking, the joycon controllers are fantastic, and the OLED screen is simply amazing. It's a must-have for any fan of the Zelda franchise, or anyone who loves playing games on the go.

What can I say about the OLED that isn't on the base switch? Well, the bigger screen is a must have if you are in handheld mode, as well as the brighter screen. If you play docked a lot, you won't really feel the impact of the upgraded screen. It has a much much better stand if you're the type to set it up at a desk or some such and use the joycons unattached, and it generally loads games better and has a bigger SSD. As for cosmetics, the TotK looks extremely nice, especially when it comes to the dock which is also a big improvement on the cheaper base Switch dock. The only reason I don't rate it five stars is because unless you're really into the handheld or tabletop modes, it's unecessary and not a massive spec upgrade, as the original switch still plays everything almost as smoothly.

I wasn't sure whether to give this four or five stars, but I'm giving it five. I like the design, and thought it was worth the extra ten bucks over a new plain OLED. The screen is awesome. Only gripes are that the pattern on the console is textured, and feels a little odd, and the patterning on the Joycon is kind of rubbery if that makes sense.

If you're looking to buy a Nintendo Switch, this is one of the best options on the market. The OLED version comes with a larger and brighter screen compared to the standard Switch, and the beautifully decorated dock, Switch, and Joy-Cons really make an impression. It also has twice the storage of the standard Switch, so if you've never owned a Switch or are looking to upgrade, this is it.
