As someone who has owned various models of the switch over the years from the lite to the animal crossing edition, this is by far the best and the one I see myself keeping. The OLED is well beyond the upgrade that I thought it would be.Also owning a Steam Deck, I can say the battery life on this Switch is quite impressive comparitively speaking.No doubt this is the Switch to buy if this is your first time owning one or coming back to the system like myself. Very happy with this purchase.

The display is everything! The kickstand is a welcome improvement and the battery life is pretty good.

First I'd never recommend an oled if you already have a switch. But if you don't have one, or are going to replace the one you have then for sure, get an oled. This version is beautiful, love the texture of the little engraving, colors fit so well, and just pleasing to look at. Sadly, only the screen is an improvement. Same speeds, processing, nothing special about the oled other than it looks nice, which is why i would never recommend it if you already own a switch

Its a really nice print on it. Only thing which is not best buys fault is the joycon I got with this one has that weird springy sound in the sticks and I thought it was only something with the switch lite since 2 of mine have that sound and none of my joycons do with the 6 or so switches I have had. But great print on this switch. I still really like the way the white switch looked and not sure how the design of this switch will tie into the game but I will find out tomorrow I guess.

For the Zelda fans out there. If you do not already own a Switch, this is a fantastic purchase. The OLED is fantastic and the games runs smoothly. You can also proudly display the artistic dock next to your tv or monitor. Remember, the dock only outputs at 1080p max so you will need a 3rd party upscaler for 1440p or 4K displays. You may also want to invest in the Pro Switch Controller as the Joy Cons can feel a bit small. The console does not include TOTK.

This Switch is a very nice aesthetic upgrade from the original Switch, especially if you’re a Zelda fan of course. The screen is a big improvement from the original, both in size and color contrast. The designs added to the joy cons and the back of the Switch itself look really nice, they don’t look like cheap decals or anything. Even though the Switch is an old device at this point, if you’re looking to get a Switch and are a Zelda fan, this is the one to go for.

I think this is a fantastic upgrade from the regular switch,, and this is a very good console for Zelda fans. If you want more details on the switch oled console, check out my Splatoon 3 switch review.

First of all i got the Nintendo Switch Oled for the slightly bigger screen,more memory and the full sized kickstand compared to the original. I have noticed a difference in color reproduction on the 2 different models with the OLED being better in the colors reproduction. All in all the oled Nintendo Switch is better in handheld mode as far as color reproduction. All my Nintendo Switch accesories work with the OLED MODEL so no need to buy new accessories.

The Zelda designs on the dock and controllers look great. The OLED screen on this new version of the Switch is awesome. The screen is slightly larger than the old version and it can get very bright while maintaining black levels that are truely black. The kickstand is WAY better than the old one as it spans the width of the back of the switch. I'd highly recommend upgrading to his OLED Switch or just making it your first purchase even if it's a little more pricey.

Great looking console had an oled but love the dock and combination of colors for Zelda so I had to upgrade

Great console, it looks so nice with the zelda theme, plus the oled screen is soo nice paired with the game.

Pros: screen(oled), design, speed Cons: storage, joy-con drift Upgraded to oled screen since I play handheld mostly. Very content with speed and resolution. Storage is norm for switch. Experienced first ever joy-con drift on the switch with this model never had this problem with my previous. First time I just detached joycon and reattached and it fixed it, second time I had to do a hard reset. Gonna try calibrating joycons and hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Great console. Having an OLED screen makes the handheld experience a magnificent one. I thrive about the handheld experience and I think having the right technology makes this console so much better. The tears of the kingdom art on the back looks so dope and the gold remotes are a nice touch to it. Overall a great console if you're into collector's edition and wants to have the handheld experience

The design it nicer than I first thought it would be, and the differences between the non oled and oled made the upgrade worth it. Unsure if it qas just mine or a problem for all but the left joy con is slightly loose compared to the right when attached but it honestly isnt that big of a deal or noticeable.

Great if you don't already have an OLDED switch and are also a Zelda fan. The console looks even better in person then it does in pictures. As for the switch itself, great screen, improved storage over the original, though you'll still need an SD card if you download most of your games. Probably the best improvement for the OLED, besides, of course, the screen, is the kickstand. Much sturdier and doesn't snap off as easily when trying to use it.

I've had my eyes on this item for a while, I saw the opportunity to buy it and it was the best thing I have done. The Accents and the tiny touches of the design is so nice, and the OLED screen is so much better compared to the other screen the other switches have. Definitely worth the upgrade. Though the storage is lacking, but nothing a SD card can fix. So if you're debating on wether or not to buy it, I would say buy it.

Had held out on upgrading to the new OLED model as they’re didn’t seem to be much of a difference from the OG Switch but after having some time with this model I’m extremely happy I upgraded. The Zelda edition is beautiful and worth it for those Zelda fans and the little bit of extra screen space make for a more enjoyable experience. If you’re on the fence about upgrading, I’d say go for it and get this beautiful Switch edition.

1 year later review*** The system is still working real good! Love the graphics, upgraded from the original nintendo switch to OLED, dont think ill ever go back! Heads up, need extra storage if you want to have more than 4 digital games on the console

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch, Joy-Cons, and dock designs are quite beautiful and very sleek. The screen on the device is much sharper, crisp, and very fluorescent. The bezel on the switch appears to be much smaller in comparison to older models of the Switch. With that said, the hardware specifications on the device remain the same. The joy-cons are not my favorite way to play on switch, as i wish Nintendo would implement a dedicated directional pad on their controllers. The hardware is also showing its age, as games tend to look very jaggy and outdated visuals. One final note, i was disappointed that console did not come with the actual zelda game. I guess Nintendo needed to make that money and charge $70 per game. Do i regret buying the system, no. I was waiting on purchasing a variation version of the switch, and i was hoping for a zelda remake/console combo. In the end, this is a must buy for collectors or zelda game enthusiast.

Great Zelda themed switch, really enjoying it, OLED screen i thought was not gonna be a big improvement from the regular switch screen but i was VERY wrong about that in a good way.
