I was waiting for this item several weeks to arrive to the store since I preorder it on first day. Once I went to the store and saw the condition on the box of this Zelda Oled Special Edition I wanted to cry. Not only that, also a big sticker with all the order info on the front of this special edition box! How can I even display that or attempt to take off that sticker and ruin the box? I asked if they can replace it for other ones and they said no, theyre sold out, but they had a few dozend of them behing the counter. I would never ever order a videogame or videoconsole from Best Buy in my life.

The joy cones are worthless the game should come with a pro controller I wasted almost 2 weeks playing till I could find one and things started moving faster but it’s still a challenge would not recommend the console if you can’t get a controller

Joysticks need improvement because they feel cheap to lock in and remove. I found myself returning the item multiple times in order to see if the problem persisted -- it did.

Objectively, the OLED model is the best to get if you want to play on both the TV and handheld. However, it comes at a cost, and with this special edition they're charging more just for a prettier design, which really made me realize the absurdity of it all. $360 plus tax for 6-year-old hardware with a laggy interface and the inability to hit a steady 30fps in Breath of the Wild. Imagine paying $380 for a 6-year-old Samsung tablet with some crappy peripherals included. That's literally what this feels like. The joy cons are as uncomfortable as ever, and you'll want to buy a pro controller and Split Pad as soon as possible. That's another $120 or so. This defeats the purpose of buying this special edition because you're not even going to use the gold joy cons, unless you don't mind punishing your hands. It's insane that even 6 years later they still don't include a more comfortable control option with a brand new Switch. They also haven't improved the build quality of the joy cons at all, and already my left joystick is creaking right out of the box. I've sent in multiple joy cons over the years for repair, so this does not bode well for me. Of course you also don't get the game with the special edition, which is hilarious. Nintendo's the only company that can get away with this. So that's gonna be another $70 plus tax. Oh, and you still only get 64gb of storage. If you want to have more than a couple big digital games you're going to be spending at least another $50 on a MicroSD card. So all together, you're looking at $380 + 120 + 70 + 50 = $620 just to play Tears of the Kingdom and a few other digital games on a 6-year-old tablet. That is utterly insane. I'm glad the logical part of my brain kicked back in during my return window. I'll be taking mine back and buying the cheapest functional Switch or Switch Lite I can find, used. There is absolutely no justification for buying this special edition new, or the regular OLED model. Ignore the FOMO and save your money--there's really nothing to miss out on here.

Especially where this is a flagship nintendo title, you'd expect them to at least make the joycons fully colored but nah the back is just... White? Same issue with the splatoon edition as well. Disappointing

Great system but the only reason I bought this one for more money was because the sales rep on electronics convinced me that this console included the game otherwise I would have saved my money.

I love the system, it's absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is it came with a stick drift in the controllers and no GameStop's in the area have the equipment to fix it so I can't play much right now.

First game in many years. I was led to believe a game came with this console, as a bundle. I could care less about the fancy design, I just wasted $10.

This is a great game console the low score goes to the whole experience with Best Buy specifically. I preordered this so obviously it was something i really wanted, when I went to store to pick this up the employee came out of the back of the preorder room with my switch already in a back and said I was good to go. After taking out of bag I seen box was smashed to pieces. Looked like they had tried playing soccer with the box. The employee didn’t even attempt to apologize to me while checking out just acted like I’d be ok with receiving a destroyed product. They also placed a giant ugly preorder sticker on it that looked difficult to remove had I kept this one. I immediately went back to store and requested to return it and they offered to exchange it for another one. It was at this point I almost completely lost control. They had another copy of this switch in good condition yet they still tried push their destroyed copy off to me and that just was not right. I brought my business to a completely different store and bought this switch there

The switch in 2023 feels very sluggish. Nintendo has also started to charge $70 for unfinished games.
