The Nintendo Switch OLED Console - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition is an impressive package for fans of the Zelda franchise. The special edition console features a sleek design, with Zelda artwork on the dock and Joy-Con controllers. The upgraded OLED screen provides a more immersive gaming experience with vibrant colors and deep blacks. The game itself, Tears of the Kingdom, offers a unique storyline, challenging puzzles, and stunning graphics and sound design. Overall, this console and game combination is a must-have for any Zelda fan or gamer looking for an upgraded experience.

I had the original Switch and I absolutely loved it. When the Tears of the Kingdom switch came out I thought it was time to treat myself to a new console. I didn't expect much and mostly purchased it for it's looks, however the screen blew away my expectations. I used to always keep my switch docked and play on the TV but with the slightly bigger screen and the OLED type of it made me end up playing in handheld mode again and again. I would recommend this type of Switch to anyone especially buying their first Switch.

No complaints with this swith. The OLED screen speaks for itself, but you're purchasing this for what is custom and boy are there some cool custom looks going on here. The asymmetric look of the entire design is very well done and I am personally a huge fan of. However, subtly, the texture and small hinted graphics on the back are my personal favorite touch when holding the console. Only certain lights can you see the design, but the feel of it in your hand is premium. I was anti-OLED for a long time, but this edition made me trade my first Switch in and I haven't regretted it once.

I got this after my shift on the morning of the release of totk, coming from a animal crossing switch i got also during that release in 2020 I knew it wasn’t a necessary upgrade but wow after firing it up I cant imagine going back now. ive even decided to tevisit games i hadnt picked up in ages to expereince them in all its OLED glory. The colors on the joycons are amazing and the dock is perfect. Definitely super high quality in build overall. if you dont have a switch this is a no brainer. Id recommend buying before it becomes sold out especially after seeing the success of the game now.

Title explains itself. I had gone through countless video/article reviews and comparison between both the original switch which I owned and the oled switch. Of course there’s minimal spec upgrades. But the big game changer was the oled feature and increase to screen size. My researched pointed to, “if you have a switch already the upgrade isn’t necessary yet till a Pro comes out”. But let me tell you the next day transition from both Switches was noticeable and enjoyable. I do not regret the upgrade. Made me enjoy handheld like it was the first time picking up a Switch.

Idk whats with the nintendo hate lately, but the swich remains an amazing console that can go handheld with no delay. The special edition totk version is absolutely beautiful, the detailing on the back of the switch itself is my favorite part. I do wish the joy con holder was in theme but I am very happy the wrist straps match. The OLED screen is massive in comparison to the original, overall it's lighter, has an adjustable more stable kick stand, and feels more solid. Now that could be because its new vs my og switch, but the weight change makes a huge difference when playing handheld.

For the collectors, zelda lovers, and those wishing to upgrade. Coming from the non-oled version of a switch you will be wowed by larger screen that looks and feels better than the first edition switch. The kickstand change is very well welcomed. The dock and controlers look better than any image I have seen. What really does it for me is the back circle texture pattern. Looks awesome. If you already own a switch you won't gain anything from this other than if you are a zelda lover and must have the themed look. I fit in to that category and was not disappointed I got my collectors edition.

I upgraded from the animal crossing switch to this one. I absolutely love it! The graphics look so much better with the screen, there’s less lag, the screen is bigger (obviously), I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The box also looked really cool.

As this is another Nintendo switch, there is nothing else to review about it other than the design of the doc, the switch itself and joycons. Starting off with the joycons, I love the design on them! The paint is perfectly printed on the plastic and don’t feel like they will rub off after a while of playing with them. The only thing that worries me though is the problem with the joysticks after a while of use… as for the doc. I can’t complain, it is the best looking doc I have gotten for my Nintendo switch! The colors of white with the gold really makes it look clean! And lastly for the screen, it is an oled model which is already better, (Especially compared to the new Mario switch coming out. How sad) and the fact that it has a nice design behind it really makes it feel like a collectors edition! The only thing that I wish that they did differently though, was what if instead of the switch being black, instead be white? Then the cool designs could be gold instead of a semi white paint? But anyways I love it and recommend it. Hope this helps. P.S. the joycon jack thing also has a cute TOTK design on it. Though it is still the same color. Also the joy on sticks are white which is really nice!

This is by far the most gorgeous switch to date. The color scheme goes so well together and we finally have gotten the zelda edition we have all been waiting for. The OLED screen is a must for handheld gamers so I definitely recommend spending the extra and going the OLED route. It also has double the internal storage, a better quality kickstand, and the speakers have been upgraded for better audio. It still only has 64GB of internal storage which will fill up quickly so do yourself a favor and purchase an SD card of a minimum of 256GB (the more the better though).

Beautiful Screen and an amazing feel to the console when its in the hands. I have large hands so it does feel kind of awkward to play and after awhile gets tiresome, easily solved by the fact that they provide a device to dock the joy cons to while you play on a TV! We all know that Nintendo still lacks in the FPS category, being capped at 30FPS on the handheld sucks considering how advanced technology is nowadays. It’s okay still, considering the types of games nintendo usually puts out, you don’t really expect much in terms of a WOW factor…nevertheless still handles beautifully. Now, on to my main issue with nintendo itself rather than the Switch. This is my first switch so i didn’t know what to expect, i do like that they keep it old school where you’re not obligated to download Gigabytes of data to play the games, BUT i do hate that when there is an available update, the game will NOT allow you to play without first downloading the update. EVEN if you disconnect from the internet. Once the system realizes theres an update that’s it. P.S. Battery life is Okay. Can’t Praise nor Complain. Overall it’s a nice handheld console to have when playing games to relax to! Comparing this OLED model to its standard, you can certainly tell the difference. The extra $50 is WORTH it.

After having a v1 switch since launch I decided to finally bite the oled bullet once I saw the Tears of the Kingdom switch. The quality of the switch itself is amazing, and the battery life? I went from >2hours to close to 6 hours! The metal frame of the switch feels great and the added stand doesnt feel flimsy like before. The artwork on the joycon is amazing and the attention to detail is great, as well as on the console itself. The dock? Beautiful. If youre thinking of getting either a first time switch or upgrade? DO IT!

I was still using my day 1 switch... But when this OLED came out, I had to buy it. I love the look obviously but I'm more impressed by the OLED screen. It's way better than the og switch. I also love the extra internal storage space this switch comes with. I'm concerned that these joy cons will get drift like several others have for me, but Nintendo has been good about repairing them at no cost. I've also noticed this newer switch stays cooler than my og switch, especially while docked. The kick stand is also improved big time.

I bought this for my son. He's been telling me the OLED Switch is an upgrade to his old switch. However, it wasnt until he wanted it for the new Zelda game that was coming out the verg next day that I became excited to purchase It. The screen is much bigger than his older switch and the graphics look amazing! The version I purchased had the Zelda skin and it looks very cool. I will say it seems to boot up a little faster than the previous version as well. In my opinion it was a great price and well worth the $400.00
