Gorgeous console
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Switch console is gorgeous!! The OLED screen is a major upgrade from the older model. I upgraded to this from a day one launch model!! The design of this special edition is beautiful. Especially love the swirls on back of console. The dock is the standout!! If you’re on the fence, just buy it! Must have for a Zelda lover!!

Looks good, but should’ve included the game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the look of this bundle. The white joycons are simply beautiful and of course the OLED screen make games really pop. The battery life and slightly increased internal storage are also big pluses over the standard Switch. My favorite things on the OLED are the better kickstand and the much smaller bezel. I do wish that the power and volume buttons weren’t so recessed, and the white on the joycons pick up smudges a lot easier than I’d like. My least favorite things on these new special edition bundles is that none of the companies seem to care about these anymore. Sony and Microsoft will have bundles that include games but will have boring looking standard consoles while Nintendo has cool looking consoles that don’t include the game.

Big upgrade over standard switch
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch oled model has a new and improved dock incorperating an ethernet port for an improved online experience and the new OLED screen is a huge improvement over the standard switch. Brighter screen, more vibrant colors, larger screen area, and an enhanced kick stand makes the switch oled a no brainer.

Great upgrade to my V1 Switch!
|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My launch-day switch's vents were starting to crack and the fan was getting loud so I decided to upgrade. The upgraded screen, kickstand, internal storage and speakers make this the definitive version of the console. With the improved battery life, I find myself playing handheld way more than I did with the original.

Zelda OLED Switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a beautiful system. The Oled switch is definitely an improvement over the original switch, better (and slightly larger) screen, better storage at 64gb internal instead of 32gb (though tbh you still will need a micro sd card to expand), a better kickstand on this one as well. Definitely worth getting the Oled if your thinking of picking a Switch up. If your trying to decide on upgrading from an older Switch it depends. If you have the Version 1 switch its definitely worth the upgrade. Upgrading from a Version 2 Switch is a maybe tbh, as really the only thing you'll be upgrading is the screen and a better kickstand. The Screen is great, slightly bigger and better/easier to see if your outside, and the kickstand is just better period compared to the original. If your a massive Zelda fan it may be worth it, and if you play the switch outside a lot its definitely worth the upgrade just for the screen. Otherwise I'd say pass on upgrading and just get it if you need a new one for some reason.

It’s a Zelda switch :3
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reservation process was soooo much smoother than the Deluxe Collectors set had been. Extremely happy to have gotten this. The OLED model in general is soooo pretty and crisp in handheld mode, makes me want to get an OLED TV/Monitor to continue enjoying it. The base station is much more efficient with cable management than gen 1 Switch, with USB accessible from the outside. The decals have a soft matte white plastic that is nice to the touch with the gold details giving off a subtle metallic shine that just (as a hugely biased Zelda fan) feels so good to look at. The back of the switch design has a very subtle texture, and the mounting kick-stand for the screen is wide-set and feels very secure at any angle it’s propped at. A little disappointed that the OLED model in general does not have any upgrades internals aside from slight more on-board memory and the better screen, but my reason for purchasing this particular device was not because it was OLED. All in all, I got exactly what I wanted and air looks even better in person.

Great buy for my first Switch!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was thinking about getting a Switch when this happened to come along. As a first time Switch owner, I think I got lucky with the timing of this one! The design looks better in person, the way the light shines off it is just *chefs kiss*. Screen is big and bright, joy cons have a nice punch when pressing the buttons. It stands nicely with the built in stand, the rubber feet make it feel secure. I do have some gripes tho: 1. When docked, the switch shakes in its stand if the table it's on shakes or gets bumped into 2. A handful of times when turning it on, the switch has a loud motor sound, like it's running on full blast and trying to take off into space. It stops after a few minutes, but being brand new you would think this happens after a year or so of owning it 3. Some online games are slow. The connections inside the game shows green/high ping, but there's lag a lot of times. My wifi is new so not sure why this is happening all the time, unless I just happen to play during high volume times

The Go To Switch
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The OLED screen is amazing on the Switch OLED. I originally thought the Switch would be a console I would nostly play docked except on a long car ride, but the quality of the screen has led me to often play in bed or on the couch, or even in table top mode with the much improved kickstand. As my first Switch, i am extremely happy. As for the extra $10 to get the Tears of the Kingdom edition, the Gold Joycons look amazing, even if the backs are white, and the Zelda decals look better on them in person than in pictures. The dock also looks nice and the switch itself has some decals on the back, it isn't just special joycons on a regular switch with a special dock, it is a true special edition console. It does not come with the game, but Sony and Microsoft have been releasing special edition consoles without games bundled in for a while. However, it would of been nice to get it bundled in since I will just have to wait to play TOTK until I buy my physical copy at a later date.

An excellent edition
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high expectations for this switch since I heard many good things about the OLED models, but I was surprised the difference the screen makes when playing games in handheld mode. The screen is noticeably larger and very clear, with vivid colors. There are also many other small adjustments and improvements made that make the OLED switch feel more premium than the original model, such as the sleeker fan vent, larger stand, and a better designed dock. Now when considering the Tears of the Kingdom print on the Switch, I was surprised yet again. The print is very nice and I could tell the effort went into its design where you can see how the designs were drawn to fit the buttons. The print is not only beautiful, but also feels nice to the touch and not too fragile. Despite being a special print, I don't feel discouraged from carrying it with me as long as I have a case to store it in when I am not using it. Overall a very good product.

Fantastic
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second OLED Switch. Such an improvement over the og model. Better build, screen size and battery life. This model is all the better due to the TOTK theme. The controllers and dock are the obvious standouts. The minimal design on the console is also nice. Love it.

Best OLED Switch Design so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautifully designed Switch system. The OLED screen is great, colorful and contrasty, and the actual design of this version of the switch is the best so far, in my opinion. Feels good to play and sturdy, nice matte finish on the back and nice material look for the joy cons and dock.

Awesome upgrade and great graphics!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from the original switch. Love the OLED screen and the longer battery life. I play it a lot more in portable mode because of how nice it is. The Zelda Tears of the Kingdom graphics make it look really nice to. Was able to pick it up the morning it was released. Thank you

My Journey with the Nintendo Switch
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve spent countless hours immersed in the world of gaming, I was eager to get my hands on the Nintendo Switch. In this review, I will share my personal experience with the console, highlighting the aspects that made it a favorite among gamers worldwide, as well as a few areas where it fell short of my expectations. Portability and Flexibility: The Nintendo Switch's greatest strength lies in its portability and flexibility. The ability to seamlessly transition between playing on a TV and playing on-the-go is a game-changer. I found myself taking advantage of this feature during long commutes or while waiting for appointments. The console's compact design, combined with detachable Joy-Con controllers, makes it incredibly convenient to carry around. However, I did notice that the Joy-Con controllers felt a bit small in my hands during longer gaming sessions, which might be uncomfortable for some users. Game Library: Nintendo has always been known for its exceptional game library, and the Switch does not disappoint in this regard. With a wide variety of titles, ranging from beloved franchises like Mario and Zelda to indie gems, there is something for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the vast open world of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and embarking on whimsical adventures in Super Mario Odyssey. However, I did find that the Switch's library lacked some popular third-party games, which limited my options at times. Multiplayer Experience: The Nintendo Switch truly excels with their multiplayer experience. The ability to detach the Joy-Con controllers and instantly engage in local multiplayer with friends is a fantastic feature. From competitive races in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to intense battles in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the console delivers hours of fun. However, the Joy-Con controllers' small size can make them less comfortable for extended multiplayer sessions, especially for players with larger hands. User Interface and Performance: Navigating the Switch's user interface has been straightforward. Setting up the console using the eShop, and managing game libraries was a seamless experiences. The console's performance, both in handheld and docked modes, is impressive. Games run smoothly, with vibrant visuals and excellent frame rates. However, I did encounter occasional instances of frame rate drops in graphically demanding games, which slightly affected the overall gameplay experience. Battery Life: The Nintendo Switch's battery life has been a point of contention for many users, and I share their concerns. While it can last for a few hours during less demanding games

Incredibly clean
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tears of the kingdom edition switch OLED has to be the cleanest switch released. From the custom dock or joycons. To the etched kickstand. It isnt just another switch with stickers slapped on. They made sure that this custom design will last and it shows

Great looking OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks great and goes well with tears of the kingdom. Games look great being played on it and battery life is amazing. A bit ridiculous that nintendo upcharges this over the standard OLED by $10 for just cosmetics. But nonetheless it looks great especially the dock.

Everything I wanted in a Nintendo Switch and Mor…
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’d been holding off upgrading my Nintendo Switch ever since they announced the OLED models. While the upgrades to the existing architecture sounded good (better internal memory, sturdier kickstand, not to mention better resolution and battery life), I just wasn’t sold. I told myself I already had a Switch and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference when it was docked anyway. But when this special edition model was announced I couldn’t keep putting it off. Being a longtime Legend of Zelda fan I just had to have it. It has all the great perks that I already mentioned since it is an OLED model, but it also has all of those small details that make it a one-of-a-kind piece of Zelda memorabilia. I bought it right away and haven’t felt one bit of “buyer’s remorse” at all about it. If anything, my kids—big LoZ fans themselves—envy their old dad. What more can I say? Buy it. You won’t regret it.

Nintendo Zelda Switch OLED - A Legend's Canvas
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch OLED Model - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition is a gaming masterpiece that seamlessly blends aesthetics and performance. The console's design pays homage to The Legend of Zelda, featuring the iconic Hylian Crest on the glossy white dock. The Joy-Con controllers in green and gold, adorned with game-inspired symbols, complete the look. Gaming comes to life on the 7-inch OLED screen with vibrant colors and crisp contrast. The adjustable stand adds convenience for tabletop play. In conclusion, the Nintendo Switch OLED - The Legend of Zelda Edition is a canvas for gaming adventures. With a perfect blend of style and substance, it deserves a solid 5-star rating.

Oled definitely feels like an upgrage
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from the regular switch and the difference is quite notable in screen quality. I have been playing Tears of the kingdom mostly in handheld mode and when I first started on the regular switch, I forgot how bad the original screen was. Coming from good monitors and TVs, the screen felt like there was no contrast and the low resolution was really noticible. It made it really hard to look for things in the distance. Once I got the oled model though, it really feels like an upgrade. I noticed no difference in tv mode (because there isn't a difference) but in handheld mode, the contrast made a huge difference and I feel like a fog has been lifted. Worth it if your old switch is a couple years old and you want to truly experience tears of the kingdom. I got the original switch mainly to experience breath of the wild.
