It also adds an ethernet port to the dock, which is great when you can plug it into a network. Combine all of these additions along with the great visual design and it's easy to see why so many people bought this version.

The Legend of Zelda Special Edition Console is incredibly detailed, great design and color scheme. The dock and joy-cons match perfectly and just in time for Tears of the Kingdom. If you’ve been on the fence about buying a Switch OLED, make this your next purchase!

Oh my god. I'm so very glad i waited. In the end of the day its minimal change unless you plan to play handheld mode. But something about seeing that beautiful docking station. Just feels right. I'm so glad i waited for a switch console upgrade. I love the zelda series with all my heart. And I'm glad i was able to grab one. :)

The internals haven't been updated so don't expect performance improvements beyond the screen looking nicer and being a little bigger due to a smaller bezel. I played the new Legend of Zelda on this and my launch Switch and noticed the same frame rate dips on both consoles. I would definitely recommend this if you are just getting into the Switch ecosystem but an OLED Switch probably isn't worth it as a replacement for a current Switch, unless you really want a nicer screen and, in the case of this Zelda edition, are a big fan of the series. Honestly, the nicest improvement, after the screen, is the kickstand, which is 100% better than the dinky little thing on the original Switch. I just wish Nintendo had actually made the effort to improve the internals as the components are definitely showing their age.

She had the original switch from release and the battery life has improved a lot with this model. The kickstand for it is so much better I dont know how we dealt with the original one. I do agree with others though if you plan on using it plugged into your tv, it’s probably not what youre looking for, I would just go with the original model.
