I like it I needed to play cds on my Sonos through my tv and this worked great.

Easy to use and inexpensive. This purchase is what I was looking for at the right price.

Works well playing commercial DVD of a TV series season. Probably overly complicated remote for purpose but then I don't watch a lot of DVDs.

got the product home and unpacked it and hooked it up. worked perfectly, and easy to use. cant imagine getting any better for the price.

I was going to say, for the money, this unit is great but I want to say it differently. This unit is not expensive but still works like a very pricey DVD player. We love it. Dont lose the remote tho-I don't mind getting up but it is kind of tricky without the remote.

I bought this solely to have a region-free player to play Chinese videos my Sony would not play and this Sylvania will play them. But, there is a problem when inserting a DVD and it may either open the main menu showing all available files, or it may start playing the first show, or it may start with a show trailer and i cannot figure out how to select which one. Once it starts on the trailer, none of the remote's cursors or other buttons will work. The only way to staop it is to press the square STOP button to stop playing and then hit either the NEXT/Fast Forward or PREVIOUS/FAST BACKWARD buttons to take it to the main menu. This is very frustrating and I'm not 100% sure if it is this Sylvania DVD player or the DVD that's causing it. As others have mentioned, the defualt resolution is always the native resolution of the DVD and there does not seem a way to set it up so every DVD is upsampled. You will have to go into the menu and do this for every DVD you insert. The advantage of this DVD player over another similar region-free one is that this one has one HDMI output while the other one did not.

It plays very well. And it was easy to hook to the TV and easy to operate. Other than no batteries two thumbs up.

The DVD player is ok for the price. The remote is not the greatest. So far so good.

It's ok for a DVD player. Comes with component cords but no HDMI. It is HDMI capable however. The buttons on the remote and very small and hard to read. You really have to be very close for the report to work. It plays DVD's ok. A little noice to start. I paid 19.99 which is ok, but the reg price is 29.99 and I would have taken it back if I'd paid that much.
