This is the worst DVD player we have ever owned! We hooked it up to a brand new TV, and it worked fine. . .at first. Now, less than three months later, doesn't play a DVD all the way through without stopping at least two or three times. It isn't the DVD's as they play fine in our other DVD player in the living room. Waste of money and now, am past the return time!

Set-up was simple but no matter what key I pressed on the unit or the remote, I got a "Invalid Key" message on screen. Except for when I at first pressed Play, it only did so for 15 seconds showing the copyright warning repeatedly and then went black. I returned it to the store. I learned later that Sylvania is no longer even honoring the warranty.

I probably used this thing twice a week for about 3 months. It is now sitting in a box looking brand new and not working.

It only play DVDs and not CDs not a good value. Online you can get a multi use player for cheaper.

I can't get it to work. If I can get it returned before it is too late it is going back. Now that it's plugged in the tv just tells me to run something that I have no idea about and there's nothing to explain it. I bought it because it was supposedly easy to set up--just connect the HDMI cable. It won't let me select the HDMI.

No bells and whistles at all. Does not have a LED to let you know if it is on or not. Works okay, kind of slow.

It made a terrible background noise. Inexpensive but not worth it.

I have been trying for a week to get this to work with my HDMI cable. It seems like it is connecting but will not read the disk (I have tried several disks) Not sure what the problem is. Will most likely return this product unless I can figure out how to get it to work. I called Sylvania customer service and they were no help

I bought the DVD player to play over the weekend while I was out of town I did not know that it will not play some DVDs that I had bought purchase a red so I brought it back cuz it was too little and it didn't it wasn't a Blu-ray next time I will look for me a Blu-ray with a better quality and show a better picture and pick up all the sound

Returned and didn’t work very well a lot of skipping or wouldn’t play .

Awful experience. I purchased using reward credits and credit card. When I plugged it in and hit the power button the drawer opens and closes repeatedly until the power is turned off. Will never play a dvd because it won't stay closed. When I returned it I got a credit on my charge but the reward cedits were not refunded.

This may be a fine DVD player-- I don't know, because I needed one that would connect to my COMPUTER, not to the TV. I explained that to the young man "helping" me, and he assured me this one would be great for CDs containing handouts and Power Points that came with some training materials. Somehow I just couldn't get that TV to print those handouts!!! LOL

Was working good i liked it now its not reading the disc did the trouble shooting now what

This dvd player is crap. We used it a total of 3 times before it stopped loading any dvd, even brand new ones. It just acted as if it couldn't read the disc. Any disc. I took it back and exchanged it for a slightly more expensive dvd player that actually still works.

I bought this because it was cheaper than replacing my lost dvd player remote. It's cheaper because its useless it had trouble reading a disc on it's very first use. Then it would not open to return the disc.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't read any DVD's. Though I saw reviews saying the same, I was taking a chance buying it that maybe I'd be one of the lucky ones that got a working unit. I am returning it and getting a different brand.

I bought this in February; by September, I needed to buy a new one. I probably watch 1 to 2 DVDs per month, so it's not like it broke from over use. I sure wish I could say something better about it, but it just failed me all the way.

Ordered online and shipped to residence. Setup myself and played one movie before it stopped working. Tried to return to store but because I had no packing slip (which was not in the box) they refused a return or refund or even store credit.

My son is fine with this purchase. It does what it’s supposed to do. No bells or whistles.

It's really noisy which makes me wonder how long it will last.
