There is nothing fancy about this DVD player, but it works perfectly. Easy to set up. Nice compact size. If you are looking for a DVD player without lots of bells and whistles, but performs as promised, this is the one for you!

It's a great no frill's player on a budget, remote take's 2 AAA batteries (Best is Alkaline) will last longer, must read instruction's to use remote, compact player, buy it when it's on sale

This is a nice non-Blu-ray player-- for the price. I use it for testing decrypted & copied DVDs that I give make, then give to friends, family, etc.. It works very good-- without having too many features. Just for basic playing, as I need and want.

You are paying somewhere around $20-25 for this unless it is on sale. Are you expecting UHD quality video? No! But if you need a simple DVD player for a spare room, or just need a cheap replacement, this is going to work for you.

On initial testing, could not find an eject button on the unit. Tried the remote, but no batteries in package. Once batteries were installed in the remote, the eject work about half of the time. Plays movies OK, and HDMI makes setup simpler.

Good quality product for a reasonable price. It is very ease to use and we would highly recommend it. We purchased it for our granddaughters bedroom and it is working like a champ.

This was a great price. It does not play blu ray. It plays regular dvds. Use will be for older dvd's and works well for playing those. This may not be a high demand product but works great for the older DVD's you may have laying around

I purchased this refurbished to give to our daughter for their kids playroom. I didn't have high expectations since it was going into a playroom. Everything looked fine except the remote is cracked at the bottom. It doesn't affect the use of the remote, but at least that could have been repaired/replaced too.

The first one I bought was missing the remote control but they gave me a new one without any hassle when I went back to the store. I think BB should check returns before they put them back on the shelf to make sure all components are in the box. Once I had all my parts, it set up easily and works fine.

Great little DVD player. Easy to hook up and easy to use. Perfect for my technologically challenged Grandmother to watch her favorite movies. And you can't beat the price!

This item was bought to fill im a void for our DVD collection we have. We have 4 tv's, 1 PS4 amd 3 DVD players. So we bought this one just to have and use when internet slows down or is offline.

I bought a TV that wouldn’t accept the component av cables of my existing DVD player and no one, including Best Buy, had the correct adapter. This DVD player cost less then the adapters that were available and has an HDMI connection. Now my daughter can watch her Bubble Guppies DVDs once again.

Lowest cost player I could find! Did not expect much for the price but surprised at how well it works. No batteries included for remote but for the price seems reasonable.

Great price. This is not blue ray or 1080 HD but does the job if just wanting to watch basic dvd. Will need to purchase HDMI cable but does come with basic cables to work.

This is a great DVD player for a good price. It is easy to set up and easy to operate. The price was good, and it works perfect! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good DVD player.

Cut down no frills no fuss DVD player. It works well for the price. If you want to stop the movie and take a break you will have to use the chapter function to go back to the nearest time as it will not hold your spot for more then a few minutes. The image and sound are good.

This DVD player does everything you could want. I have a blueray player hooked up to another TV, but this is great to have if you want a less expensive option for DVD's in your movie collection.

My old DVD player died after 9 years. It was one of those cheap no-name brands (Viore) and it was the best DVD player: PAL/NTSC, region free, 1080 upscaling, no skipping, composite/component/USB/HDMI connections, etc. I was looking for something similar and was really disappointed with the available options. Until I looked at the pictures of this Sylvania. Ignore Specifications and the listed 1 HDMI connector. This tiny DVD player has all the outputs as shown in the picture! Component, composite, HDMI, audio L/R. Although it does not have USB, it apparently has PAL/NTSC/auto. The remote is tiny and feels light, but I will get used to it the way I got used to my old one. For bigger fingers it may be problematic though and it has problems to communicate with the DVD player – you really have to aim precisely at the sensor. It is a bit annoying, because my old Viore was so durable that I could bounce the signal of the wall and it would still communicate. So far Sylvania plays even scratched DVDs from the library, but… it consistently pixelates and skips about every 20 minutes on Progressive setting or 40 minutes on Interlaced. I saw other reviews confirming it. When you rewind the DVD disc, it replays the section fine, so it is not the disc. It is probably not enough buffering memory. I tried three of these Sylvanias and they all did it. My Viore was definitely better, but it is not worth repairing. And currently there are no better (and cheap) options beside Sylvania. I guess I will keep it. DVDs from the library are not worth fancy equipment. I only hope Sylvania will also last me 9 years and the skipping will not get worse…

I was looking for an affordable and compact DVD player the could be connected with just an HDMI cord. This was it! Plenty in stock. I’ve had no issues with it! Very happy with my purchase.

Great product. Perfect size and the features I needed. Glad to find it at a great price and so easy to purchase on line and then pick up curbside.
