Customers love the 6-Device Remote's ease of use, attractive price, and compact size, frequently praising its intuitive design and bright backlight. However, some users experienced issues with compatibility and button responsiveness, while others found the battery type inconvenient. The remote's performance is generally considered satisfactory, although some reported occasional lag.

I bought this on sale for $20 as a replacement for the remote that came with my TCL 6 series (built in Roku). I wanted something with more functionality and that could control my Vizio sound bar. I ultimately returned this remote due to several issues and have concluded there are much better choices for the price.
1. I was able to program it with one of the TCL codes and do basics such as navigate with the arrows and get to the home screen with the menu button. However, several critical functions didnt work, including any of the ff/rw/play/pause cluster or the back button. This made it extremely inconvenient to navigate apps like netflix and hulu where there is no single button that was able to quit out of a movie or show. I tried the Roku codes under the streaming present and none worked.
2. While I could program the sound bar and control the volume, I couldnt control tv and sound bar at the same time. I had to use the device switch buttons at the top to go back and forth. In that way, it's a "universal" remote, but it's absolutely not a smart remote.
3. Ergonomically, it's very uncomfortable to hold. It's too thin and edges are sharp. As other mentioned as well, button layout is less than ideal. It just isn't an enjoyable remote to use.
After I returned it, I went with the One for All Streamer remote which I'm much happier with for $25. Much more comfortable to hold, feels very well built, effortless to program, and allows me to control the tv and sound bar without having to switch functions. It's a simple layout and the company makes ones with more buttons and devices if needed, but the Streamer was perfect for my use case. Either way, skip this one.

Not Worth the Price

There are four things I don't like about the remote.
1. Batteries - this devices uses uncommon CR2032 batteries. And it needs two of them. AAA design is standard at $24.99, unless it's a free remote included with budget devices.
2. Button ergonomics - the photo in this listing shows contoured center navigation buttons. These being the volume, channel, arrows, 'OK' buttons. These buttons are completely flat on the one I received, which means you get no non-visual tactical feedback that you are pressing the right buttons. You have to look down at the remote every time you want to verify you're pressing the right buttons.
4. Lighting - the button is at the bottom of the remote and the light doesn't last long enough. It doesn't auto-light when pressing other buttons thereafter. The light is weak and it requires it's own CR2032 battery.
3. Price - I paid $24.99 while this remote is lower in quality than the remotes included for free on budget electronics when you buy a new device.

Needed it because I bought an open-box TV without a remote. Button batteries died on the second day. Feels, cheap, light weight, unsubstantial. Buttons too close together. Have to point directly at the TV receiver to function. Hope the fresh batteries last.
